\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

Well today was a total fail for me. Tried to get my current sway bar out but I couldn't get the bolt that's on the endlinks off. :smh: Gotta find a shop to do it now or try one more time with WD40.

Would you have a tool to cut them off?

Does the new one come with new hardware?

Try candle wax ALMOST certain to work

Pics ?

Can't cut it off because I need to use it for the new sway bar. I didn't have a 14mm wrench so I was using a 14mm socket wrench but still nothing. Probably just needed some lubrication on there.

Not my pic but same idea.

Keep hitting it with the wd40 and tap it with a hammer at the same time so it can get into the threads
Heating it up would be another option also

Spray it with PB Blaster for better results leave it overnight. Also if you jack the car high enough you could probably get a breaker bar under there.

Did the nut just spin when you tried to take it off?

A lot of end links will have a allen key hole inside the stud it self, you're supposed to hold it with the allen key and then use a wrench to take the nut off.

If not, hit it with pb blaster and if you don't have a long breaker bar you can rent one from autozone for about 30 but you get your money back when you return the tool.

If you have the car jacked up on stands you can also use the floor jack to get more leverage on the breaker bar/ ratchet.

PB blaster works a little better for stubborn bolts

NT car thread out here helping turn lives around :pimp:

Man i dont want to talk to much about stuff in details but ill say this , if i keep going ill lose the little bit i have and hit rock bottom very soon. Thankfully i have the willpower to quit....i know i can cause man once you need 10 a day to "reach the high" and 15 on days off , its literally disgusting and im not myself anymore ...i just know i can quit and before i relapse which i doubt i know i can come to NT for sound , logical and real advice before making a bad choice ....i made myself a new rule "what would an educated nter do" as corny as it sounds , this messageboard has taught me / educated me more than my own father who i barely know

I don't have any PB Blaster but I'll spray it with some WD-40 and leave it overnight to see what happens. Just a pain getting the floor jack out with the stands and going through the whole process again.

I couldn't even get the nut to loosen up, had the allen key ready but didn't help since the nut didn't move. Never thought about getting the breaker bar under there but since I can't lift it that high probably wouldn't work. Not a bad idea though.

I have no idea what the 45 bars in 72 hours means but I'm glad you're making steps towards a drug free lifestyle.

Good luck and be careful, man. Those withdrawals are no joke, and can actually be pretty dangerous. I've heard that coming off of xans is worse than coming off of heroin...seriously. I'd think twice about stopping cold turkey and if you don't want to get help at least try tapering off.
