\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

It means it was a joke. Relax guy. You can put your cape away. And I know exactly what he said. And a DCT and tiptronic are two completely different things. Why would you choose to respond to me when you don't even know what you're talking about?
Not just this comment but your like last 4 responses.  Relax man, its an internet message board, youre taking things so seriously.

No one can see your humor if youre typing so serious, almost at an elitist type post. "Put your cape away." Hoookay there.

And I never said anything about DCT, im talking about tiptronic transmissions that people pass off as manuals.

$48 for the Charger?!?!

I absolutely love the car, but I would have def had a few choices I would get for for $48 before I would even think of a Charger.
I feel that, I ain't eem mad at that. I think for me it was multiple things that went into my decision. Ever since 06' when I went with a homie to test drive an SRT I was sold. Wasn't in a position to buy a whip back then though so it was just dreams at that point.

Fast forward to last year, a client of mine (female at that) has an 08' SRT that's damn near brand new. Blacked out, sexy as hell! She also has magnaflow exhausts on it with electric dumps and when she fired that thing up in front of me I almost fainted. She took me for a ride and it was a WRAP. 0-100 RIGHT NOW. Lol. But in 2011 there was no SRT so I started to look for older models. Then they dropped the current SRT at the Detroit Auto Show and from that day I knew I had to have that car.

True there are other maybe better all around performing things I could have bought for 50 racks but I just fell in love with this car since the first time I sat in one. I honestly didn't even consider anything else once I saw the 12'. I was sold. And I'm happy with the purchase. I don't feel like I'm missing anything in this car, it comes with EVERYTHING and has all the room I need to whip my family around if they wanna ride with daddy. Plus like someone said, you don't see many SRT Chargers on the road. People just don't really want to pay 50k for a Dodge. And I feel em but when people see it in person it's all ooohs and ahhhs.

- Preciate it.

I feel you bro. I'll admit, I do have that mindset of "well I can get this car instead for x amount of money". At the end of the day, you just gotta put that mindset aside and get what you want. Sure, there could be cars out there that could be more powerful or more luxorious at that price point. But at what cost? You won't be fully satisfied because it's not the car you exactly wanted. And you're right, it is love at first sight. That's what I felt with this car. Wasn't a fan at all with the old ones, but I'm in love with these. BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL car fam. I know you'll enjoy every second of it.

What kinda car? Nice color red.

I remember when I had 20% tints on my old car, harassed like no other in NYC.

I have 50% on the front windows of my Camry right now and I think its STILL dark, especially at night.

Always been and always will be a European car dude but props on the charger. Lookin good :smokin That said, if I were trying to drop near 50 bones I'd be looking at a 335i or S4, though I'm sure the charger would eat both of those in a straight line.

she's a '12 VW GLI.

I'm in northern NJ and will prob feeling the same heat as you.

Hopefully my family member gold card from NJ State Trooper will be enough for them to back off lol.

Nice car man. The white and black color scheme is something I'm leaning towards.
I almost had a 2010 Malibu 2LT today. The dealer lost. We agreed to one interest rate point and then this numbnuts calls back saying his boss wanted like $25-$30 more a month and I walked away from the deal. Sounds like a small amount but I took it as them trying to get over on me with a extra $1500-$1800 over the life of the deal. :smh:
Soon guise. Soon.

Anyone can offer any plastidip assistance?

1. Is it hard to use/apply for a first time user?
2. How durable is it? Once applied on average when would it begin to peel?
3. How many coats would you recommend for rims? badges? emblems?
4. How long does the treatment last?

I did some research.

What brands of PlastiDip would you guys recommend? I'm looking for matte black.

I found a website called DipYourCar.com, are they reliable? Are they the industry standard for dipping cars? How are their products? They look very affordable.

:nerd:

They sell black plastic dip can at home depot for 5 bucks.

Took my homie about 4 cans to do all of his wheels.

Should be about 3 since i messed up one of his wheels by spraying too close

I have 13% on mine in the front and 5% in the back, and I can honestly tell you its ANNOYING at night time. I like it in the day time though. I usually wind my windows down though to not get harassed, and I do not drive it in the winter so usually am ok. I have gotten one ticket for it, that I lost and asked them to send me another one. Which they havent, hopefully it just disappeared lol

thats what i was thinking too
looking to get some tints in my car. im in cali. what is a modest percentage that looks good but i wont get harassed for?

Depends, since you're in Cali, its probably sunny a lot so i say 20-35%

Had the same reaction my man. Apparently they haven't been manual since the 70s and 80s. I always assumed that most cars, especially a "muscle" car like the charger, would have a manual option

Apparently there are rumors of a Supercharged 6.2L SRT Charger to come out in 2014 that will put out 550hp. And if I'm not mistaken they will have a manual option for that car. As a matter of fact a guy in or around the Detroit area posted that he ran into a Chrysler product tester who was in a manual Charger. This is all speculation and rumors but it's been the buzz on charger forums and allpar for a while now. People thought it would be on the 13's but a few people with an inside scoop stated it would be for 2014. If they drop that s*** next year I'ma be sick. I said I'd keep my car for a long while but if they do that I'm trading up as soon as possible!
