   It's crazy how I watched this kid go from a skinny little 8th grader to being 250 lbs, dude has put in serious work over the last couple years and should play right away at Stanford.

Sarao is a smart kid, USC will still be getting tv exposure in 3-4 years, Stanford is a gamble right now.  Still an elite school, but when you can go to a top 25 (academically) institution and still be exposed to NFL scouts due to our NFL Pipeline, choice is easy.  That's what CLK is selling.

As a CB, especially after landing Carlisle.  There are others in the mix (Hobbi, Westerman (Nowitness

) Lee, CB Ryan Anderson), we have 16 committs not including the EE's.  Guess CLK & Co. will not self-impose the sanctions.  They will shoot for 20 hoping the scholarship sanction is reduced by 5, or shoot for the full 25 and start the scholly sanction in 2012.

He wants to play RB though, and Nebraska offered him as a RB.

Abdullah visiting on 1/28

This was a big recruiting weekend, glad the weather was top notch.

From Abdullah:

"The probation thing worries me," Abdullah said. "There's the talk of grayshirts for some recruits. They can only sign 20 players and they already have like 24 commitments. I like the weather and the tradition. That was my dream school when USC was in their prime. Everyone wanted to go there. If it wasn't for that probation I'd have jumped on that USC offer. This recruiting stuff would've been over with."
Nebraska selling him as a RB + Negative recruiting will probably make him a Cornhusker.

We only have 16 committs right now, shooting for 20.  There will be no grayshirts, we are not Alabama, LSU, etc.

Interesting enough, at one point he was seen as a lock to come to SC, but I don't think they are recruiting him hard anymore.

I'm assuming here, but the staff is working with four open spots at the moment with one of them believed to be taken by Marqise Lee (Silent

).  There are heavy rumors that Hobbi is on board.  That leaves two spots, and they are going hard for Westerman.  We lack OL depth, and we don't have a need for a TE unless they plan on switching Xavier Grimble to Tackle (doubtful).  There are plays for Henderson/Abdullah at CB as well, along with Dawson(LB) and Niklas (OL).

Bottom line, no room for Pomee.  He visited this past weekend and will be visiting Utah this upcoming weekend.  Polynesian cats love Utah.  It's either UofA or Utah, don't see UCLA snagging him.

Wilder is gonna get moved but Gran and Co. will give him a legit shot @ RB 1st.

Haven't heard anything on Westerman in awhile Ironman, but I'd imagine them still not having filled the OL coach job isn't helping... They've had a couple kids that weren't even recruited by him that were none to happy about Akina leaving too, so who knows...
 
Shaun Ward might stick at aTm, UF told him to hold off because they are full at LB. If they lose a Backer they would come calling.
 
Ward supposedly told A&M's Rivals guys last night that he was going to Gainesville for a trip and to ask Muschamp some "pointed" questions because he felt all along like they were giving him the run around... Said A&M never had anything to worry about but that's probably lip service. Regardless, that looks like a kid that'll be a nightmare coming off the edge in a 3-4.

A&M will probably keep Leilon Willingham too, supposedly wants out of Colorado.. And then if they can reel in Floyd Raven, that turns into a pretty nice haul on defense.

Well damn, Stoops couldn't have picked a better time to get Anae, Akina and Salave'a on staff then.

Was SC recruiting Pomee as a true TE? To my knowledge Arizona is recruiting him as an inside WR.
