it depends....the snug fit and superior cushioning make it a great shoe on paper however, some find the shoes to be too heavy....they're also arent a wide shoe; so if you know that your foot is a little on the wider side, than I'll guarantee that there are shoes that will be a better fit for you on the court

penny wore the foamposite ones, and it was finalized with penny in mind. hence why there is a 1 cent logo on the heel, and on the soles

^And cars are just pieces of metal...whats your logic here?

Foamposites are really nice and durable, I usually try to stick to Pros and 1/2 Cents.  Heck I even liked it on the LeBron IVs.
I go half a down smaller since they break in so well.  Hooped with them once, they were OK, but compared to the usual Kobes IVs/Vs I hoop in, it was two different worlds.

Nike has toyed with and released a variety of different thicknesses/compositions of posite' over the years... but in essence Foamposite is a poured, urethane composite that when applied to footwear allows for an amalgamation of the upper/midsole into one... thus, superior lateral/medial support at 90° off the foot-bed, good durability and a consistent fit is achieved by one component...
...it was developed during the early 90's in collaboration with Daewoo; the foam in place technology used in packaging and automotive seating was a driving inspiration.
The differences between the Foam. One and the Foam. Pro are merely aesthetic...

Well, I was about to say...

OP - Foams are tanks.  I have my pair from 9th grade in 1997.  Remember how you treated shoes in 9th grade?  Other than the wear on the soles and the paint rubbing off the foam looks new.  These are Nikes that you actually get what you pay for...

Anyone wanna shed light on that big fire in the Nike Headquarters that destroyed the original mold of the Foamposite??...

Also, from what I hear, the Foam Pro's was initially established before the Foam One line, and was originally marketed for Scottie Pippen. But Pip declined the Foam shoe and Penny picked it up...

Not sure how true that is, but anyone care to input???

And IMO, the Skyposites are actually pretty good for hooping... I own a pair and they are definately a good shoe in terms of performance. And much lighter than any other Foam based shoe that I've played in.

Most Foams lack ankle support, which isn't too good for ball... (Lebron IV's as an exception)

Ah.  I see, so they DON'T mold to the shape of your foot then?  And the reason for their durability is because of the composite material used? To all that posted, thanks! But I'd really appreciate some answers to my inquiries in my original post as well

NIKE intended for the Foamposite One to be Scottie Pippen's signature shoe.  Original samples were neon red and featured the Pippen "P" on the heel.  I held the archived size 16 weartest samples (my personal size) in my hand - that was the one shoe I couldn't convince Sports Marketing to let me add to my collection.  However, Scottie wanted a shoe with his name, so the Air Pippen Max was thrown together in a rush without much input from Scottie to Eric Avar.  This was evident by the fact that Pippen's pro make-ups had Zoom Air instead of Air Max because Pippen had been playing in the AJ XII and preferred the lower profile court feel.

Also, this:

Foamposite is a foam composite material that is injected into molds as a liquid and dries as a solid..  Its heavier weight is offset by the fact that it eliminates the need for a midsole, as the upper is attached directly to the outsole.  I found it strange that the Air Foamposite Max felt so heavy and the Air Flightposite II KG felt so light.

"The Foamposite material, which is made of an extremely thin (2mm) molded polyurethane, molds to the shape of the wearer’s foot." - KO

Air Flightposite II (Gold Carbon Fiber) and AJ XIV (whi/red/mus)

Air Flightposite II (Olympic Make-Up) and Air Foampsite Max (Spurs Pro Make-Up for Robinson and Duncan)

You do good research. You had most of the answers to your question right there.
One of my top 5 favorite shoes is the Flightposite 1.
