Well guys, i figured the off-season is just about over so why not start the official season thread. The Season begins in 2 weeks with our first pre-season game and the excitements just starting to come.

Wish we could just skip the preseason. 

Nobody get hurt, ESPECIALLY during the damn preseason. 

Lower Kobe's minutes, keep Fish as always around 25 min during the regular season so he can work his postseason magic, find a way for Bynum to play 75 games in good health, and somehow keep Artest focused on the trophy and I think we'll be ok. 


Laker fans, read this, read this now.  Page one, 3rd post, read this. 

There will be games that we lose that we should not.  There will be games we should win by 37 and we'll win by 4.  Phil will be caught sleeping on the bench during a game in January.  That's ok.  It's all part of how the REGULAR SEASON works.  The point is, this team is built for the POSTSEASON, and sometimes there will be lulls during that meaningless regular season.  Do not, I repeat, DO NOT FREAK OUT about these occurences.  For the love of Chick Hearn I do not get why people get all rowdy everytime we lose a damn meaningless regular season game on the road, 3rd game in 4 nights on a Tuesday in December.  But every year it happens.  This season, CHILL OUT.

Now, I'm not saying you can't voice your concerns, or bring up situations that you have witnessed and do not agree with, no problem there.  But I am tired of seeing sky is falling NT everytime we lose a game.  Trade Fish, trade Bynum, Odom is dumb, Sasha should die, Gasol is soft, Kobe is old, Ron is a nutjob, damn, give that a rest people.  Ya'll stress so damn much you give ME ulcers. 

Enough of that, let's go kick the @#$% outta everybody this year (over the course of 9 months of course, not every single game

) and let's show the Celts/Magic/ and Heat what we're all about.

how are you guys gonna feel about everyone rooting for the lakeshow to take down the abomination in miami?

kobe as a hero? that would be some way to finish his career. (not that i'm saying he's done) i don't think kobe is near MJ level, but he would have beaten a better team in the finals than MJ ever faced

Honestly, I dont think everyone is rooting for the lakers to take them down...right now maybe- but I see the Heat gaining a lot of fans, and celebrity fans as well.

If Kobe was to take them down there will always be those people who speak on his greatness and others who downplay it ( it was Miami first season together, Lakers were the defending champs, better chemistry, better role players, etc)

@cp that's the entire truth. i've been following this team long enough to know their habits and i trust them enough to be ready come playoff time even if they slack off a little in the regular season. home court for the playoffs would be nice but going into the playoffs fully healthy would be nicer.
