People forget how truly ANGRY these dudes were when they made this album.

That venomous mind state is what truly makes this so special.

And I could listen to this track every day & not get sick of it:

Hit single that is still street as %@$@ w/non-mainstream lyrics w/a message that I can REALLY relate to.

89/100 on meta critic, it was the 4th best rated album ANY GENRE, in 2006

everybody, we all overrating it, it's if you don;t like it but putting the overrated stamp on just because you do get is silly.

also no rap album since it's release has better reviews.

I'm not saying these are some tome handed down by god, I'm just to pretend that it's only NIKETALK that thinks of this album this highly, you are fooling yourself.

Thank You...
%*!@ is CLASSIC...

You know, I can understand why people don't like the beats. The music is just sooo different from, really, any other hip hop album of this era.

The album just feels DEAD...in a good way

I really can't think of anything that sounds like it.

The closest I can get is Liquid Swords...How both albums had that same dark, cold synth heavy kind of production...

And you know the Thorton brothers are always going to do what they're going to do...

Only track I don't like is Ain't cha. $@%% is a waste. They should have threw that $@%% off and put on "Dope Man"...

Album got better with every listen which to me is a sign of quality. Like fine wine.............

Edit:

Wasnt a big fan when it 1st came out, in fact thought it kind of sucked.  Maybe just wasnt ready for the sound/feel/whatever

Honestly I didn't like it the first time I heard it, the production is different from what you EXPECT neptunes produciton to be, it's also sounds different than any rap album made at before or since. The minimalism, the dissonance, it's kind of a shock to the system the first time you hear it, but if you divorce yourself from expectations then it really shines.

Need to give this a spin...haven't heard it in 10 years. Keys open doors, keys open doors

Crazy, I found this in my room and had it in rotation all last week. The intro and outro alone is so uncalled for! I remember I wanted to drop out of school and flip just off of Keys open doors
