Confirmed for November, but I am hearing they still will NOT be the black Friday release. I want these for sure, but I still want that black Friday release to be metallic 5's with Nike Air and proper materials (don't burst my bubble on the proper materials part, I know it is unlikely).

Every blog is already posting about them coming back. As to when they will release is unknown as of now, my guess would be black friday. But laneys and these in the same month. JB been trolling hard during the holiday months

LOL, good point. But with every 1 coming back out I would ASSUME these would as well. NA plus OG box in all, but like you said just rumors for now

My source is not Modern Notoriety. It's the same source I got the blk toe XIII release info from. He's always been reliable for me and is in a position to know release date info/plans, specifically, as opposed to new color ways, samples, or things on the design side of the business, so take it for what it is worth. He also said the Laney 5 would not be the black Friday shoe. Pretty much if he doesn't say "keep this between us" then I tell NT lol.

Exactly just like the Knicks and the Royals.
I'm just glad they're re-releasing again so I can cop at retail.
I know the Banned's quality will be far superior to these, but I can't see myself spending $1,000 on a shoe, let alone this shoe.

I can see the value of the Banneds dropping if these OG bred 1s release. At the end of the day, banneds to me was a gimmick and as stated many times before, the bred 1s wasn't even the actual shoe the NBA banned lol. Also this next version being released I'm sure will be the closest to the OG we've seen since the 01s
To me, the knicks and royals were on point so I don't see how these will be any different and won't cost an arm and a leg. Also it's more true to the OG version

Banneds will NEVER drop in price. aside from the Nike branding, we'll never see that quality of leather on a Jordan 1 for a long time, if ever again. Not to mention that Banneds were a commemorative shoe. The new Bred 1s will certainly not have the special insoles and overall presentation that the Banneds had

I would MUCH rather have a black and red like the royals rather than banneds. I would take the worse leather over the stupid Xs anyday

are you talking about the X's on the back or on the inner padding or both?
if you own a pair, you'd know the ones on the back barely show and the ones on the inner padding are not seen when in use
IF this shoe comes back in the retro OG form i'd be happy to beat those and keep the banned's clean, although the worn in look of the banneds and overall aging of that shoe IMO will be nicer
