What 4 teams do you think will be left when the conference finals series begin and what two teams will play in the NBA Finals? Here's my picks.... ECF:Celtics over Magic or Nets (if they fire Lawrence Frank) WCF: Spurs over Suns or Nuggets Champs: Celtics in 7

I'd have to think about my predictions, but is anybody else here not a Celtics believer yet? They haven't even played any of the elite from the Westyet.

word. they'll probably go on a losing streak similar to the Magic. They might beat the Mavs tho. i dont know there schedule so i dont knowwhen they will play the Mavs. they might beat the Jazz too, im sure their confidence is kinda low from losing games recently and they will be facin the teamwith the best record. i dont know about the Spurs tho. i dont follow the ins and outs of basketball too much, when is Tim Duncan coming back? if he aint bytime they play the Celtics, the Celts' better hope Tony Parker is in a slump.

ECF - Celtics vs. Detroit

WCF - San Antonio vs. Phoenix

NBA Finals - Detroit vs. Phoenix

Champs - Phoenix in 6

*Before I [Denny Green] Crown their ***** [/Denny Green], I want to see how the Celtics fare against some of the elite teams in the West. There is no doubtthat they are a great team, but that being said there isn't a lot of success in the playoffs with their big 3. The Playoffs as we all know is a differentkind of beast, and many top players have crumbled under the pressure...Regular season don't mean jack by the time the second season starts up. I'lltake Detroit and their experience over the hype surrounding the Celtics at this point.

Celtics versus Pistons, Detroit in 6.

KG will shrink when the stakes are at their highest. Allen and Peirce will play well but Detrot's defense will be able to cheat off Boston's pointguards and and centers. On offense, the Pistons will be able to manufacture points down the stretch and teh ywill take the series.

Spurs versus Suns, San Antonio in 6.

The Spurs will hustle backand slow down the Suns' fastbreak, Tim Duncan will conrtol the temo with his post up game. Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili will gettoo many buckets in the paint. The Suns' defense will break down at the end of games. The Suns will get bodied on the boards. Shawn Marrion will disappear.Steve Nash and Amare will play great but it won't be enough. History will repeat itself.

Spurs versus Pistons, San Antonio in 5.

It will be the same teams from the 2005 finals but it will play out more like the 2005 finals. It will be a slow, boring (for most) and largely lop sidedclinic of conservative ball handling, posting, screen rolls and tight defense. Let's assume that the Pistons win one of the games in San Antonio and theSpurs will sweep them on the road. Tim Duncan will only need two really good games offensively. In the othet two victories, some from the back court will leadthe Spurs in scoring.

ECF: Detroit vs Boston

WCF: Spurs vs Warriors (yes i'm a homer)

Finals: Spurs vs Boston

Boston wins the chip in 7

ECF: Raps vs. Celtics - Raps in 5, because they have excellent depth.
WCF: Spurs vs. Suns - Suns in 5
Finals: Raps vs. Suns - Amare can't handle Bosh. Nash will be thwarted by Ford and Calderon, the best PG tandem in the history of the NBA. Raps in 5,because they have excellent depth.

You think the Raptors would really beat the Celtics, Magic and/or Pistons ? Let's be real now.

But every body is entitled to their own opinion.

Spurs vs. Celtics = 2008 Finals

Depends, honestly.

If the Mavericks run into a low-seed team that gives them problems, they probably won't do well..

I'm not trying to be a homer, but I think we can beat any elite team in the L in a seven-game series. Yes, that includes the Spurs, Suns, and Celtics.

East- Washington VS Celtics in the East Finals. Boston in 5.
West- Suns VS Maverick in the West. Dallas in 7.
Finals- Mavericks VS Boston. Mavericks in 6.

And ill4eva, if you want to count Jason Terry as a PG, Terry+Harris are better than Ford+Calderon, as are Barbosa+Nash. Think a little before you makestatements like that

. You can argue Terry and Harris, but you can't argue Barbosa/Nash. And don't forget about Bibby+Jackson in the early2000's.

But back to the Mavericks. If we stay healthy, I think we have what it takes. Excluding starters (Dampier, Dirk, Josh, Devin, Jones), we have a deep bench(Terry, Diop, Bass, George, Stackhouse, Hassell) who all can put up some numbers or contribute in various ways be it Defense, grabbing boards, or being ahustle player. I believe we match up well with the Spurs, and the Suns we've beaten, they've beaten us, it'd be close. Only reason I think we'dbeat Boston is because they'd have to have their big three shine for 48 minutes of every single game, because the Mavericks bench would dominate anyoneoutside of Paul Pierce, Jesus, and KG. Want some real trouble throw out JET, Howard, Bass, Dirk, and one of the Mavs bigs, and the Celtics don't have ananswer for it. It's young, fast, athletic teams we have trouble with.

And just to state, I think the Celtics ARE that good, but once they run into deep teams in a seven-game series in the playoffs, it'll be harder.

TJ Ford is like Kevin Johnson.
Calderon is like John Stockton.

How many teams do you know have that kind of depth, where you have Kevin Johnson starting and John Stockton coming off the bench? I know of only one. Andthat team is the Toronto Raptors. When you factor in that they have KG and Dirk Nowitzki in the same front court, it's a wrap for the rest of the league. As a matter of fact, if aliens came down to earth and challenged humans to a game of basketball and the planet was on the line, there is no doubt in my mindthat the Toronto Raptors would be the team handpicked by the Illuminati to save the human race.
