Pusha T

My mind wanders on a PJ, my momma brought up in the PJs
In the club sippin' P&J on the same arm as my Piaget (Woo!)

simple imagery, but still extremely better than Meek Mill trying to structure his rolex and ghost in every rhyme.

Ross came with it too.

God body and mind, food for the soul
When you feedin' on hate, you empty, my _, it shows
Follow them codes, ain’t no love for these ****
If you slip and you fall I got you my _, hold on
If you right or you wrong, if you riding come on
By the end of this song, can’t be hiding for long

Throw a gang sign dare you do something about it

That Hollaback Girl beat goes hard though and could very well pass for a Clipse beat IMO.

I see what you're saying though and agree that Pharrell is a pretty versatile producer; I'm just not sure that Hollaback would be the best example to use in making your point.

Clipse wasn't rapping on no Hollaback Girl Lansky you wild , I agree though beat is amazing, he wrote the song too.

I guess a better example would have been Touch by Omarion, which was made the same time, is one of my favorite Neptunes beats ever and again he also wrote the song.

Pharrell's ability to do something like a Robin Thicke track and then Feds Watching and then go do Get Lucky and then go do the Pusha album . . . one of the best of all time imo

There we go...Touch is the polar opposite of something like Suicide.

Maybe it's just me, but I can totally see Clipse rapping over the Hollaback Girl beat; tweak a few little things and the vibe is very similar to Grindin' IMO. I'll lay some Clipse acapellas over the Hollaback instrumental later.

Am I the only one that doesn't think Ab-Liva's Suicide verse is all that? Typical materialistic rap without any

lines IMO. If Wayne spit that verse, NT would most definitely be ******** on it.

u serious, the first 2 bars of his verse

Nothing but cash here, this sweater is cashmere
The roof is a translucent, it's nothing but glass there

if you can get wayne to pronounce translucent correctly, better yet use it as a metaphor without using like, as, or any other simple
way he sets up his punchlines.

Just finally picked up MNIMN, and you can add this to the list of albums released in the past few months that are better than the Drake album.

P & chad's versatility when it comes to production always amazed me... they could produce the toughest hip hop tracks, smooth hip hop tracks, monster singles, r&b, pop, & so on. plus all their N.E.R.D. work... incredible.

Kendrick Lamar's verse on Nosestalgia is incredible. The imagery he gives you... The whole song just makes me want to watch Boys N da Hood lol all those references

"Ya'll wanna see a dead body!?"

Oh, didn't know using words with multiple syllables is impressive now...not to mention the dude used it wrong (glass is transparent, not translucent). And calling glass translucent is not a metaphor in any way.

Sure, his voice sounds cool and his verses are sparse, but to say his bars or subject matter is ill is a gross overstatement.

Honestly, it might be my favorite album of the year from a rap stand point. The production on it is great. And Pusha kills it.

I concur

To really put into perspective about how GREAT this album is , you have to realized he is talking bout coke over, and over, and over, again. And again. And again. And its still dope ! (pun intended) If your gonna be repetitive, at least be creative, clever and witty. Push delivered big time.

Using the word translucent doesn't make it hot though.

Verse is solid, but dude's voice and flow are both meh to me.

Also, I know I'm in the minority but the beat wasn't anything special to me.

found out yesterday Ab Liva was in Major Figguz??? Had no idea. Im watching the "Yea thats us" vid, like ,wtf! First time his verse disappointed me, but I give him a pass.

It's funny because I had super low expectations for this album.

I really didn't care for Fear of God 2 or Wrath of Caine aside from a few songs. But yes, this is rap album of the year :smokin
