Seems fair and I can respect where you are coming from since majority of my childhood friends still rock with the oversized clothing as everytime I happen to be shopping with them, they refuse to step out of that comfort zone even if in fact they look more their age in a pair of nicely fitted pants and a nice simple Poloshirt...this was the exact scenario I had with my best friend a few weeks ago when we ended up at Jcrew....however correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you've poked fun a couple of times at fits that you felt by your standards made a man look less masculine...or was it someone else?...I feel that if you are gonna use the argument "wear what you feel comfortable in and do it for yourself only" then making fun of how someone else dresses simply because they don't dress like you seems a bit hipocritical bro.

I've never at all called any fit on here effeminate or made a homosexual reference as a generic insult.

The polar opposite in fact - I've been ultra critical of NT as a safe haven for homophobia.

If it's possible for me to get even more pretentious about NYC history - most of y'all need to read about the Stonewall riots. Gay rights protests going toe to toe with police in violent standoffs for like 72 hours in the late 60's. Most of y'all favorite rappers (not you, Ksteezy, speaking in general right now) never even put an iota of work in comparable to those fighting for gay rights.

Gay people are an oppressed minority, period. And, those of us in this culture fighting for acceptance of our own disenfranchised kinfolk need to embrace the gay rights movement and not use it as a punchline. Real talk.

Dudes need to expand their worldviews for real. The world is a lot bigger than your block. Embrace those fighting for the same cause you are and grow the hell up.

Again, Ksteezy, I assume you are on my side in all this, so this is not directed at you at all.

ya running out of things to hate on now.. No fanboy statement but he's a trendsetter on so many levels, Sure a couple of style might be base of a 80's look but what in fashion haven't been done already in a certain sense already?
Don't ever remember so many guys with pants that can't be pulled straight on. Tight pants/leather pants are a no no in my book. That ish looks awful to me.

wearing bigger clothes is related to being insecure from being uncomfortable in your skin?!
(my clothes fit by the way, most of my work clothes are tailored).
again......

And apparently, according to the quote above, it's also a reflection of age. Older people would "look more their age in a pair of nicely fitted pants and a nice simple Poloshirt".

I'm with you because most of my clothes fit comfortably proper, but the level of ridiculousness behind all of these statements is astounding and it's just so hard not to address it.

Do adults in their late 20's/30's who wear Jordans, AF1's or Foams "look more their age" in them? Probably not. But they do it anyway.

I certainly wear J's and 1's. It's called PERSONAL style.

Honestly, living below the mason-dixon in Florida, it is REFRESHING, that guys like ASAP Rocky and Theophilus London have stepped on the scene. Kanye is one of my favorite artists EVER, regardless of genre. But, stop discrediting others, who weren't even relevant while Kanye was building his dynasty. And, show me one brand of clothing that is inexpensive bro. You go into any store, other than a Target, or Walmart, that about it. Everything else costs an arm and a leg. And like I said, unlike these "fashion frauds", who hop on EVERY wave, show me one fashion baron, other than ASAP Rocky (and guys like Theophilus London, or Curt@in$), who have broke the mold. I will wait. The Jordan luster is gone, which I am so HAPPILY proud of because, celebrities can no longer just toss on a pair of Jordans and feel holier than thou. If you're really fashionable, introduce us to something we haven't seen. And, the funny thing is, these dudes have stylist, who are failing miserably.

fixed.

Asap is from the hood. they knew nothing about expensive brands until they started getting money. There's no such thing as a trend setter in hip-hop. Artists borrowing from what white artists did many years ago. Hip Hop stealing trends from the 80-90s and acting as if they started it.

There was a point in time where full body tattoos was a white, rocker thing. Rock n Roll and punk rock had leggings and tank tops popping way before your favorite rapper did.

Using words as "refreshing"? If being a brand ***** is refreshing then to each his own but most of you sound like sheep.

Ye made everyone drool at some of the ugliest Nikes to ever release yet you give him no credit for bastardizing fashion in the hip hop community?

Thats like not giving Puff props for having everyone in cybertek. Pac for not having everyone in bandanas. Jay for having everyone switch to button ups.

Ye spends a lot of time in Europe and knows that if he starts rocking quilts...so too will the rest of the sheep as he has proven with people like ASAP and DJ Proto

Too much writing essays and not enough picture posting... :rolleyes

Grown men arguing over other grown men....wheretheydothatat? :smh:

Now miss me with all that text.

This leather shorts trend needs to die...

Plus I don't know who's worse above: D-Wade dressed like a Soho sneakerhead chic, or T-Pain looking like a colorful runaway slave... At this point I almost prefer 50's jean shorts/denim vest look.

never understood why people say this.

if you dont like them, dont wear them. just dont get why what another man wears has any significance in your life.

They must hate Chic-fil-a
Y'all drop little slick comments like this, AS IF the thread didn't already consist of 99% of the pictures being males "celebrities" with gear on.. Everyone in here is critiquing them whether you voice your opinion or not. Get the F over it.

Every other page there's an argument about Wale, What Chris Brown wore, whether Victor Cruz or insert any other person were real sneaker-heads before they came into fame and money, does so and so know anything about the Lo piece they're wearing, whose better looking Taylor or RIta etc.. etc.. and then a page and a half of dudes condemning and *****ing about the arguing.

Nothing new, carry on with the pictures, tho.

dwayne wade is one of those dudes that thinks he's doin it but ends up looking absolutely ridiculous. best thina bout that fit is the sox...lol

NEED them answer IV's AI has on...

I didn't name any (clothing) specifics, take what you want from my comment, everyone has their own opinion.

All this talk but there's literally 3-4 dudes that actually contribute to this thread faithfully. Don't like the debates feel free to flood the thread with
more pics :rolleyes
