wonder why he keeps them chains on the inside :nerd:

It's okay, he's a celebrity. People know he's rich.

I always talk about how the idea of people "growing out" of sneakers and stuff is such a misplaced idea. But, I have to admit, gaudy jewelry is something that I definitely "grew out of" a long time ago. I used to rock some brolic links during my, um, entrepreneurial days. But, jewelry serves two functions. Around people who are financially stable, jewelry is an accessory and not something to wear every day. In the hood, it's more of a signal of having stripes than anything else. People can say they like the way it looks, but if you're an 18 year old kid living in a nice suburb somewhere, wearing big jewelry is just absurd. Not because it isn't "your culture" but because it doesn't mean anything if you aren't going to get tested for it, or if it's not a testament to the respect others have for you. I know this sounds like some ignorant madness, but it's really just basic sociology.
