Yup, I was in middle school then and remembered everybody doing it. I think it does look good though if you're wearing a low top running shoe like jst said.

only bone I have with the interviews you do is asking celebrities how they feel about pricing..99% of them get everything for free.

Either that and or they are millionaires who really don't give a damn about sneaker prices, as if the price would effect them in the least bit.

Completely wrong.

Unless you have you're own signature shoe chances are you're still paying for kicks. Jordan Brand is the only one who is blessing their athletes with stuff but how big is their roster? 30 Max?? Nike on the other hand has so many sponsored names that it would be impossible for them to give free kicks to everyone. I can confirm that Cruz STILL pays for most of his kicks. Sure he doesn't have to camp out but he is still spending money on them.

Just because they have the money to spend, that doesn't mean they should do it. If they don't think it's worth it, they should pass, right?

Not knowing the value of a dollar is one of the reasons why so many athletes wind up broke. ...There are lots of other problems and that's not the only reason why, but you don't get rich my pissing money away. And, you certainly don't stay rich by doing so.

You can confirm? How?

Nike sends him boxes of shoes and clothes for free. FACT.

If Lebron and KD can get their whole family and friends closets full for free, you gotta kidding yourself to think Victor Cruz is paying for his shoes.

If he were a rapper..I'd agree with you but it's Victor Cruz...overnight sensation, super bowl champ whose on social media...that means free shoes for free marketing which means more $$$$ for Nike.

Hmm you forget I interviewed him? lol.

You're right about boxes of clothes and shoes, but do you know whats in those boxes? Dri-Fit tees and 30th anniversary Air Force 1's

Im not going to put details out there but Cruz still shops at various sneaker stores. Follow him on Instagram he is always putting pics up of him at retail locations. Like I said previously, he's not lining up and he's not paying much over retail but he is certainly paying minimum box price for his kicks. Look back at some of his old photos and you can see he's been consistently copping sneakers since before the break out year.

Again if they don't have a signature shoe attached to them chances are they're not getting the majority of their kicks just sent to their house.

Surprisingly I've found more rappers get stuff from Nike/Jordan than actual athletes.

Makes sense, actually. If was a Nike marketing guy, I'd want pro athletes in my performance-based product and rappers and other taste-makers in my retros/collabs/etc.

But, seriously, don't try to tell people that D-list celebs (most - not all - of the rappers posted in here included) actually have to live pretty normal lives and make less money than your average mid-level executive at any one of tens of thousands of companies in the US or abroad.

KONY - Don't tell NT there is no Santa Claus.
