Makes sense, actually. If was a Nike marketing guy, I'd want pro athletes in my performance-based product and rappers and other taste-makers in my retros/collabs/etc.
But, seriously, don't try to tell people that D-list celebs (most - not all - of the rappers posted in here included) actually have to live pretty normal lives and make less money than your average mid-level executive at any one of tens of thousands of companies in the US or abroad.
KONY - Don't tell NT there is no Santa Claus.

Haha, no comment.

BTW you're 100% right about the athletes/performance and rappers,tastemakers/retros connection. There was actually an inside uproar when "celebs" got their Yeezy 2's before the athletes even got a chance to buy, yes buy. Or so I heard from a good source :nerd:

Just because they have the money to spend, that doesn't mean they should do it. If they don't think it's worth it, they should pass, right?
Not knowing the value of a dollar is one of the reasons why so many athletes wind up broke. ...There are lots of other problems and that's not the only reason why, but you don't get rich my pissing money away. And, you certainly don't stay rich by doing so.

Let's be honest, what shoe nowadays is really "worth" the price tag?

This isn't Lamborghini's and Mansions we're talking about here...it's $250> sneakers that regular cats like me and you can obtain and still have money to live outside of this hobby.

These cats are making millions on millions, you really think some sneakers are really going to cut into their budget?

They could care less that a shoe maybe overpriced.

So to ask them how they feel about sneaker prices is kinda....dumb....if you ask me.
