I'm the same way. Die hard Chargers/Trojans fan. On SB Sunday, we were supposed to wear our team colors to the party. I rocked a Ray Lewis authentic cause dude is a straight BEAST. I'm not a Ravens fan by any means, but Ray is arguably the greatest in his position (at least in my lifetime).

As far as different rules go, different strokes for different folks.
I can't root or wear the (arch)rival colors/jerseys. No way you'll catch me wearing any Raider/Bruin/Irish anything. But I rooted for Peyton in the postseason and I was pulling for Oregon to make the BCS game.

A lot of people wore them but it didn't have a run like basketball or football jerseys during the throwback era. I always felt like it caught on with rappers but not necessarily with the fans .

Man I killed that Keith Murray my freshmen year in 94 Psycosamatic . Think it was one of the 1st actual cd's I bought . Cassettes were still number 1 then .

I agree,
NHL might need to do the NFL thing and make their "authentics" slimmer cut for the public.
I have a few (in b4 proto), but they're OD big for the simple fact that they're made to cover tons of equipment/padding.

that said, even Frank Ocean found a way to rock a SUPREME hockey jersey

I won't be mad if the hockey jersey fad comes back. Hopefully people would watch some games as well as its a very entertaining sport. If there were sales on the NHL store then I'd have some, but they never have good discounts and I can't pay $130 for a long sleeved shirt. To those who've never worn hockey jerseys and are looking into getting older ones, get your measurements done. Sizing varies across brands. I've had to flip a couple because of that problem.

What I will not do is rock anything that is not in on-field style. You want a purple hat - no purple NY fitted, go buy a Rockies hat. Everybody doesn't have to share my idiosyncrasies, and I'd guess lots people have different kinds of personal rules. I'll say this though - the biggest and most knowledgeable sports fans I know (and I know several people in front offices, scouting, player development, as well as leading analytic voices) are more team agnostic than they are partisan.

im da SAME WAY b... thats why i have so many fitteds, because i RARELY wear off team colorway...da only

classic off team colorways is a all black yankee or a red yankee.

but i'll take it a step further, im from NYC, so im my mind it gives me da license to wear every single team in my city, that means ill rock

mets, yankees, nets, knicks, jets, rangers, islanders, giants all day long, but da only non on field colorway i would rock is a yankee and MAYBE

a mets because those logos are so universal i wouldn't mind owning em in a semi odd color. but i'd never get a odd color other team at all.

for da record, im a giants, knicks, and yankees fan.

hockey jerseys definitely had a run in da early 90's in rap..

i actually have a few in my jersey collection, but since i aint da biggest hockey fan i didn't buy more...felt like those fake

fans that buy jerseys just to match, while all my basketball, baseball, football, etc. i copped cuz i was a fan.

i got a black and neon yankee for da rare times i rock those colors, but yea i rather look for a team with similar colors vs getting a off team

colorway...alot of people are like this..this is why da custom colors fell off years ago and everything went back to rocking da correct colors for teams.
