He hyped y'all up. Had cats camping and paying 2k for them. Set the table for Nike to break him off again for a 3rd version. Used them to build a buzz around himself.

Then he was done with them.

If it was truly a hot sneaker, don't you think he'd still be wearing it? Let's be real here. He could probably dust off a DS pair of Yeezy 1's tomorrow. Or get a 1 of 1 pair of Yeezy 2's.

But he'd rather rock 1's + 6's. Neither of those is a unique sneaker these days.

you guys are seriously clowning jay for his hat? those panaman hats go for a lot, and i'd say they're actually classic. my dad use to rock those on the regular when he was still around. those joints go for a lot of money,if authentic. plus jay is in that age bracket to be rocking those. and he's in cuba!

people are still wearing them...what are you talking about...maybe not as much when they first got released..thats a given.

Even ben said last week he took scott to try to find yeezy 2 in rif la... said cause kanye doesnt have anymore...who knows...

I wear mine often..those that follow me on Ig knows......

Honestly you would see more people and celebrities wearing yeezy 2 more often then a pair of 1 - 6's....with the exception of 3's and 4's now since they been retroed.

In the past few years how man celebrities have you seen wear a pair of ones outside ye, jay, frank ocean? maybe a handful of others?

Pretty much, for marketing and to build buzz. With his Nike/LV collaborations he wore them daily in advance during the lead up, and little after that's it.

Fit, style, look - 2's
Comfort, materials used - 1's

I have to agree....still love my 1's though....
 
only reason he brought up Ye wearing 1's at the BET awards is cuz it was so random, and he brought out that colorway everyone wants, but remains unreleased, the charcoal / fire red, glow in the dark tour joints... fans of yeezy sneakers noticed that (not beasts, but cats who actually love the shoe for how it looks, and not the hype)...

honestly it seemed like he wore the 2's a lot longer after release than he did the 1's...

after the 1's dropped he barely wore them anymore, like, b4 the 3rd colorway dropped he was basically done with 'em...

so i was surprised at how long after release he kept wearing the 2's...

by most accounts, the 2's are better looking than the 1's... prolly mostly cuz they're less bulky, lower, and easier to pull off... the 1's are just straight ignorant, they got that moon boot look, and not everyone can pull that look off right...

agreed tho, the 2's are way easier to pull off, but the materials and comfort of the 1's is still hands down the best made nike shoe i've seen, it's obvious that was their attempt at a "luxury shoe"...
