I always wondered if celebs plan too meet up at games or did jake just get a ticket for himself and happened too be next to jay

There are people who work both for leagues and teams who are in charge of VIP/celeb seating.

Theoretically, it could work either way. Jay could have requested Jake sit by him (for whatever reason). Or, Jake could get his ticket and ask, who else is going to be there? Or, can I be seated next to Jay? (They may say yes, or may say no) And, so forth.

Full disclosure - I'm strongly assuming this is the way it works for NBA/individual teams, and this assumption is based on being extremely familiar with how it works for MLB and the Mets and Yankees.
