If you ship something less than 2 pounds its a better deal financially to ship USPS..

drivers are trained to only wait 30  seconds to move on to the next delivery....some of them ninja's dont even ring the door bell.
and dont get it twisted there is some grimey dudes who are drivers.... we all know what each label on packages is... where it comes from...etc... how much insurance is on it...
if its valuable... dudes will steal it... if it falls into the right pocket.

UPS IMO is the best way to ship because they will give you money back for their #!%+ ups

People are catching up to your game. My father knows a jewelry dealer who sprays the boxes with an invisible dye that's only visible with a blacklight. Someone tried to steal some jewelry and they tracked down the employee and he was terminated with charges pending.

I work at UPS and I think we have fallen behind both Fedex and USPS. My hub is losing volume to Fedex like crazy. UPS treats their employees good with their benefits and such, but the actual work environment they treat you like a dog. Thats why stuff gets stolen and damaged, because the way employees are treated during their shifts just makes them say "$@@@ UPS, i could care less if a couple packages get put on the wrong truck."

working at UPS is a trip though, I love it because I'm in school and I aint got much else to do and its a workout. If an all out obscenity-laced screaming match isn't in earshot, you aren't in a UPS hub.

I was a supervisor for UPS a couple years back, and I always thought how idiotic it was for drivers to steal. Driver's make well over 60k easily after driving for 2 years, have great benefits, and a union that will let them get away with murder.

And what do they do? Steal $70 cell phones and get fired.

I ordered some kicks and they sent it through UPS. I got the tracking number and I see the package is in a town like 30 min from me so I expect it to arrive in the afternoon

Unless it was scheduled to be delivered that day it doesn't really matter where it's at.

I've had similar issues with USPS and DHL none of this is exclusive to one company.

Hell within the past few months USPS tracking doesn't update on time.

Considering there size and volume of business I think they are pretty efficient. But with that many customers you can be late on hundreds of deliveries and still have a great %

I love ups. They actually give you accurate description of where your package is when your tracking that actually updates every 12 hours or so.

I hate this new collaborative **** now they do, where UPS handles the package then delivers it to the post office. Ideally, since they deliver it to your local post office and mail from USPS leaves early in the morning, at most it should just be the next business day you get it but that hasn't been the case for me. The UPS and USPS tracking overlaps some days and says different things but the package was finally in Oklahoma this morning at 2am per USPS, which is 1hr from where I live, somehow got back on a plane at 3 to Ohio and the USPS CSR rep says it's leaving Ohio to it's destination (back here to Oklahoma of course) and so should be today, but that means at best I recieve it tomorrow. Keep in mind, the shipment originated in Texas, yes the one that is immediately south of Oklahoma and has been over a week. Such a waste.

^^ Yeah that sh*t is annoying. USPS has delivered my last 2/3 packages a day or two late...It's pathetic.  I also get shipments from Laser Ship that initially started with UPS. Dude pulled up in a station wagon to drop my package off. It was weird but they have been getting the job done better than USPS has so far.

I like UPS, sign up for their MyChoice program (which is free) and they'll automatically email you if there is a delivery the next day, I don't have to check the tracking number or log in, they have my name and address on their database and if something is coming they just send the email.

Then if you go to their tracking page, they give you a 2-4 hour window when it would be delivered so you aren't sitting around the whole day waiting. For an extra fee, you can also pick a 2-hour window in the day of delivery too.

I can also call or just use their chat feature to ask where my package is and if I want it held at the facility so I can pick it up.

I'll continue to support USPS, they're not perfect but I've never had a serious problem with them.
