TEAM AIR FORCE 1 VOL. 6 AKA STOP PM'ING US

I actually just have a stick blender (I can't believe I don't own a regular blender). I was a little worried about using it for food later, but then I figured it was silly, because it's not like the peroxide is going to absorb into the metal and plastic and seep out in large quantitues later and poison me to death. I washed it thoroughly in very hot water with soap and such afterward, and it was fine.

Also, completely with you on MM>LET>PITATPOR

Yeah, the other half of it is that I'm, without explicitly trying, constantly stretching the boundaries, tempting my wife to just snap on some, okay, this sneaker thing is taking over our lives. Commandeering the blender or food processor to concoct a homemade sole-brightening elixir might the be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

wow i'm gone for like 2 weeks and look at all the awesome stuff i missed!

matt- those flax/black mids are ridiculous, been wanting those for YEARS.. also i didn't forget about you, just been busy as crap lately.

alex- cool vids man, those white/royal high's look familiar :nerd:

i'm glad there's more people like myself out there (you guys) that share the same passion/obsession with af1's as i do, with great appreciation for the little details that make each pair amazing and unique. i think it's a really good idea for us to put together some kind of archive, i like that. like an af1 sneaker wiki or something. i bet with all of our knowledge/pairs/info/pics combined, the 1thology won't even come close, which is pretty sad that we'd be more accurate than nike themselves. if anyone happens to start on something, let me know, i'm in!

those yellow mids were def not a Euro release. Hood spots near me had them when they dropped. Also came in a light pink as well.
Copped one pair and then copped 2 more pairs when they hit outlets. I loved beating that shoe into the ground. Wish I still had all 3 pairs :frown:

Damn coulda swore they were. I remember only seeing them at Nort in SF out this way so I assumed they were a euro cuz they seemed to get a bunch or Euro/JDs.

My two cents on the AF1 archive:

Get as much data together before ideas are put forward for the layout. I personally want to be able to filter things down to areas like embroidered swoosh, satin lining, mesh mid panel, box type and so on.

I do website architecture at work so these things are really important. Once Team AF1 has a shared database with this detail plus links to images you will be able to do all types of creative things with the data. Finally what's the cut off point for this archive? 2003/2004?

Hope I'm not stepping on any toes by bringing this up.

Last dozen pages have been straight fire. Makes me wish I lived near some east coast mom & pop shops.

Matt, I can't believe u found thos black flax in our size... Been searching forever. I settled making an ID low version. And a Team AF1Thology has always been a great idea... We would need some team legends to come out of posting retirement.

Yeah, I moved on to mids and highs as well. I have a small collection of both and always looking for any vintage af1s. Let me know what you come across. How you been, haven't seen u post in some time. I've been busy with the kid so haven't had a lot of time to come in here. I've got my first pick up in awhile coming. Nothing to hot, but a pair from 02 I've been looking for for a while.

Did a little eBay snooping. Saw these had a BIN of a 100 and sent him an offer for 50 and the rest is history.

Probably wont wear em but good to have a mid with AF1 Mid on the strap.

Will post pics once I get em in.

wow, i'm pretty sure i had these back in HS. My first pair of AF1's, I remember them distinctly cuz the toe box wasn't perforated and it had the grey/silver bottom sole. Thought I had on a pretty dope pair just cuz of those minute details. Now the AF-1 Mid on the strap is a detail i probably overlooked back then since my knowledge of AF1 colorways and details weren't so broad back in the day. Sadly, they became my bball sneakers and I beat the hell out of them.

^At the time it wasn't novel---I forgot to mention that these were from the first ever batch of AFI mids, 1994 I believe. Only these, the black nubuck pair I have (with white swoosh and red "AFI MID" stitching) and perhaps a white/black/metallic gold (I'd have to dig for a pic--might be mistaken) were in this series.

Thanks for the warm welcome back fellas! I do have access to my username now. In all honesty, my interest ebbs and flows. I might post something of mine in the future but all I really have are the same old "white towel" photos from years ago. Haven't bought any rare AFIs or shot any new pics. I do, however, have very many images that are saved from old auctions, websites etc that might be of interest to you guys. I'm going on vacation next week and I am pretty short on time these days, but I will try to throw some oddball AFI colorways into the thread from time to time.

Mail man just dropped these off, not exactly blowing any one away with rarity, but I've never owned a pair of mostly white AF1s from when they were worth getting. I may have to dig around on ebay to find more stuff like this. Can't wait for spring so I can bust these out.

these look like the pair from ivehademall on eBay... if so please don't dig around on eBay - we're the same size. I'd been meaning to buy those, since they were listed at a great price... But other pairs kept coming up. long story short - nice pickup!

I took a gamble with these, I'm normally an 11, but I'd heard that the way the older pairs are made you can size down about half and have it fit perfect and luckily it holds true in my case. Don't worry for every one that I get, I'll probably miss out on at least 10. While I like Forces, they're not at the top of my list for things I want to pick up.

I think its great that you guys are doing a whole database thing with af1s. I'm still kind of new and dont have as much knowledge as some of the OGs in here. But it'd definitely be a great source of info. I know i would be on that all the time!

if anyone lurks here who won those midnight/navy lemon twist lows.. Paying $800 USD. Hit me up!

Yeah, I second 1994.

I believe the next batch from '95 included the Pecans.

What other pairs even had the "AF1 Mid" stitching?
