BIP - I think the black canvas lows with the black outsole are from '95 (but maybe '94), and the black/white with white outsole are '96. I would love to see a picture of all those canvas together. And there were a lot of nice canvas in the early 2000s as well.

Kev - congrats on the purps!

Thanks for all the info, guys. Keep it coming.

And, I know there are a bunch of post-2000 pairs as well. I wanted to keep the list manageable for now.

I'll try to take a pic of all my canvas soon.

I'm nowhere close to it all, but I have about a dozen pre-2000s and a half dozen post.

Doodadee, that's two threads back to back that we posted the same shoe next to one another - people are going to think we are inhabiting the same body on some Patrick Swayze in "Ghost" steez.

^ I second that, need them and black/royal blue cvs high in 8.5-9 :nerd:

dope stuff BIP Roberts, doodadeee, and Stuntman Mike!

in honor of their upset last night, bracket busters.

I guess when it comes down to it, mid 90s canvas AFIs are probably my most wanted both for collecting and wearing purposes. I have worn a variety of AFIs made between 1989 and the 2000s, and my 94 canvas high black/royal are the most enjoyable to wear/most comfortable. They fit perfect to size and have the perfect amount of padding. Of course nylon tongues, good shape and great colorways also help!

I had a pair of Black Canvas Lows with a Black Midsole and White Outsole. One might refer to them as the "Black Album" colorway.

I sold them. But I rarely see them anywhere. Anyone know why or have any release info?

The pair that Doodadee posted is the pair I'm talking about that I think is from '95. I had them, but sold them because of too much yellowing on the soles (pre-retr0brite when we were all using tooth whitening gel, haha). I knew the pair with the all white sole was from '96 as I still have those (one of my favorite pairs of forces). I had not seen the black midsole pair Kev posted until now. Man, I love canvas forces. It's painful to know I'll never own the majority of them.

And those Syracuse canvas highs are tough. I was happy to see the Orange take care of business last night.

Oh, and also, I'll add that it's a bit strange that the box on that '96 black/white up there is orange/grey. My box is black/red and the label is actually on the wrogn end of the box. I am guessing mine were an outlet pair or something that was sold after they switched to the affixed lid black/red boxes.

and, after digging up the old pic of the other pair, I do believe they are fro m'95 as I had labeled this pic as such when I still had 'em:

These are amazing. Still need this color.

I agree. 90s canvas is unbeatable, IMO.

Black mid and white out is not ringing a bell. Swoosh was white too?

Did you have the box? What era was the box?

Jordanfreaks - Syracuse canvas highs! one of my grails. need those

i was only able to acquire the michigans. They'll have to do for now
