whats up guys. so about 2 1/2 months ago, i was playing in my Kobe V's away's. i've played indoors, and also outdoors. i've played about 50 games or so in them..a good amount..they look worn but not beat up
anyways, so i was playing outdoors and i had a partial tear in my plantar fascia..my arch

do you guys think that is a direct result of my worn out shoes? do i need to get a new pair of shoes or can i continue to play in them? i haven't played since because im rehabbing and what not, but its getting close

what do you guys think?

Thank You!

Get a new pair. Don't risk it. They're like 90$ bucks now. Or cheaper if you look around.

How did you like the shoe overall tho?

ha i wish i could get a pair of new feet

anyways, i think the V's are hands down the BEST shoes to play ball in...i always twisted my ankles..with the V's, NEVER twisted any ankle *knock on wood*

my only gripe is that i sustained a partially ruptured plantar fascia...its been like 9 weeks..so im itching to get back on the court..i got 6 pairs of V's...i been playing in the Aways..i dont wanna wear out my other pairs though lol...common sense tells me to just bite the bullet and play in my homes..or maybe i'll buy the inlines..

get a new pair one of the causes is worn out shoes..

"The most common causes of plantar fascia rupture are overuse and strain. This strain can come from a variety of sources. Weight gain, obesity, worn-out shoes and arch issues are all contributing factors to strain. Overuse occurs when a person runs or exercises too much"

Everyone's body is different, but I suffered the worst ankle injury of my life while playing in the ZK5's...no more low tops for me

^^^ did you step on someones foot?  Lowtops or hightop play no role in if you sprain your ankle.  Its just the luck..IMO

I saw Rondo sprain his ankle last night ouch...

Get a new pair just make sure there hitops. I wouldnt ball in kobe's because they are lowtops.

Too many people including NBA players have had success palying in the Kobe V's for the injury to be the shoes fault.

However if they were beat to $%%#, than that's another story.

The injury itself isnt predicated on hi or low top, but the severity is (ankle sprain, fracture).

OP if you dont want to buy or use another pair of kobes, get some orthotics for the older ones. That'll help support the plantar fascia ligament.
