I obviously wasn't being serious but Barnes is having not only a bad game, he's having a bad season. He just runs around the court aimlessly tryingto contribute but ends up messing up one way or another.

Just checked the box score. The for Barnes and Pietrus really speaks for itself. In a sense, even in Pietrus' short time on the court, he has done more.Those early pick and rolls that Barnes kept getting fooled on really hurt the team in the first quarter.

Hooly crap, that was a deep three, I hope I don't eat my words.

And other than shooting the ball, Matt Barnes is having a really good game. Don't bash on dude, he's hustling out there and a lot of the stuff he'sdoing you don't see in the box score.
 
What has Pietrus done this year? Nothing.

Who's the captain and who had the breakout year last year?
 
We all know Stephen is doing well, but even he has had some bad games, yeah he's scoring a lot, he hits clutch shots, but it doesn't matter how clutchyou are, if you are shooting 40% from the field, it's critical that you DO make shots in the clutch. If your shooting 40%, your hurting your team. ButStephen Jackson does a lot more than what's on the box score, right? SO DOES MATT BARNES. I question, how many of you actually watch every Warriors game,each game, I know a lot of you don't because a lot of you dudes ask for the sopcast links. I understand the blatant hate for Pietrus, but for Barnesit's really uncalled for. He isn't scoring, no, but he hasn't been bad this year.

^i'm not trying to start an argument with you. just saying i think barnes is more important and valuable to the team than pietrus. and quite frankly,there's more to being a captain then stats. he's one of the emotional leaders, figured warriors fans would know this already.

regarding the game: we should have never let them get that close in the 4th. should've put the hammer down early and give baron some rest.

Good game for the W's, Barnes was making a lot of plays, Kelenna with the dagger, although Miller got a little hot there at the end. It was a game we hadto get.

On Matt Barnes, he doesn't fill up the stat sheet most of the time, but he makes those hustle plays as well as the passes on offense to lead to scores, sosometimes it's not evident in a box score...Pietrus on the other hand has problems with his bball IQ of course

My dude, I'm not trying to start an argument here, all I'm saying is that Barnes is as valuable to this team as the guys not named Baron and StephenJackson. I wasn't calling you out specifically, but I know I watch a lot more W's games than a lot of the GSW fans, all I was stating. Barnesdoesn't directly have anything to do with Stephen Jackson, but you brought him up in the same post. In no way do I think Matt Barnes is better or morevaluable than Stephen Jackson, I'm not that stupid. But to say that Matt Barnes is completely useless this year is reaching. Like I said, I'm nottrying to start any drama, but come on dude, Matt Barnes is one of the biggest hustlers on the team and does very well for the Warriors.

Back to the topic in hand, Barnes Vs Pietrus. I would take Barnes because he is a leader and does more than just score. He can play defense, rebound and pass.Granted he has not scored alot this season but he does the little things. He hustles! He does for the team, not only for himself.

barnes is one of the ppl that holds this team together, on and off the court. i think if we lose him, we'd have a much harder time getting to theplayoffs.

and i, for one, don't let anything that stupid idiot fitzgerald says affect me. i speak what i see: barnes helps the warriors.

WRONG. Barnes brings a lot to the table, however it doesn't always translate to POINTS. the dude is unselfish with the ball, directions the playerswhere to go, and oh yeah he straights up HUSTLES. When do you ever see Pietrus shoot the ball anywhere else besides the corner? I understand that barnes sucksat times, but to compare him to pietrus is reaching. Lets just enjoy the game and root for the Dubs.

I don't know, I honestly don't see it the same way as you guys.

On my basketball team, we called it "hustle" and "fake hustle." Kelenna hustles and out of nowhere wins rebounds. Barnes is a step slow ondefense, leaves his feet on pump-fakes and has to hawl-*** to get back in position. His assists are when he does those baseball passes or fast break situations(3 on 1), I haven't seen a play run for Barnes all season long. Like I said, he just runs around aimlessly. And it's fine to have that player who doesmore off the court than on it. But I was expecting more from him based on last season.

And it's not a "Pietrus OR Barnes" discussion. It's a "Barnes needs to step the %*%* up" discussion.
 
Barnes know his role is to bring hustle and toughness to the team everything else is a bonus - the scoring and the floor game.

Michael Petetrus on the other hand is an idiot. He could be a stellar defender be instead he focuses too much on being an offensive powerhouse.

on a side note:
anybody catch the post game interview with Monta?
he's bout to avg. 1 "do what we do" quote per interview. that has to be his go to interview answer.
