yeah but I don't think the cop should have ran up on him like that and Malik just naturally reacted out of defense, although it won't turn up like that in court.  If Malik gets off with no problem, then money talks

.  On a side note, I thought the scene with Melanie and Jazz was pretty powerful.  two different conceptions of a black woman's success: melanie, bougie light-skinned ,trying to put down the less admirable black "groupie,"  who achieved her own success through the same means but is still looked down upon.  Can't knock the hustle (Street Smart vs. Book Smart).   Jazz straight stripped Melanie of her power with the booty shaking scene

. the writers of the show played it off as a joke but I think it really was a subtle uppercut that goes back to what Tasha was saying about Melanie being insecure= she obv. can't shake her *$@ like a "black girl." I wouldn't be surprised if Melanie is dethroned as President and Jazz moves up.

I dunno. I mean I see what they're trying to do by emphisizing the acting but I liked it better when there was a little bit more comedy. Too much drama for my taste. Feels like a soap opera now..
