Lance Briggs will not be back.....he will be in red and gold. He would already be a 49er if it wasnt for that rule that states a franchised player cant betraded mid season.

We need more help in other positions, not to mention the fact that the three big names at qb will be off the board by the time the bears pick at 14 (I think atthis point) They ABSOLUTELY need to get younger on the OL, and though I love what Mike Brown does WHEN he's healthy, there is no way he should be back in abears uni next season. We need a RB, but as we've seen over the last few years the front office has a {sarcasm} REAL good track record at evaluating talentthere since Neal Anderson{/sarcasm}Anyone remember Curtis Enis or Rashaan Salaam? There are going to be a couple FA out there that could possibly fill in at RBuntil we can make the more obvious fixes we DO need. Peterson did have a good game(more like what I would have expected from him) against the Packers when itseemed like Starting St Clair at tackle made a big difference on the line, giving him some running room.

Qb is something we haven't had since Sid Luckman in the 40's! Jim McMahon was one of those guys that was good enough becasue of his surrounding castmore than his own talents. I think Orton is showing us right now that the 2 years he has had on the bench have helped his decision making, he might be worthtaking a shot with as he is still under contract, keep Griese around on the sidelines in the role he is suited for - career backup, and let Rex test FA-withhis track record and injury history he probably won't get a high dollar offer and the beaers could probably resign him for close to a league minimumcontract and keep him around as well. (I still don't think he is a totally hopeless cause- he was playing better after his benching before getting hurt, and would be willing to bet that if he goes somewhere else he WILL pan out, and come back to haunt us) With an upgraded at the OL I think Orton or Grossmancould be worth the shot for at least a year or two more.

I hate to say it, but while I love what Mike Brown does WHEN he is healthy, the problem is that for the last 4 years he has ended the season on IR. There is NOWAY he should be back in a Bears Uniform next season, meaning we will need to add a safety to the mix somewhere along the line as well. I say if there is notop flight Tackle availabe at the Bears pick they SHOULD take a safety to replace Brown, then take a OL in the 2nd.
