***New Reebok Pick-Ups, Release Info, etc.***

At least is a genuine material and not some synthetic garbage. Reebok runners have a lot bigger fallowing than the other brands in Europe and especially Japan.

Apart from the limited issue releases I just don't know how Reebok gauges thirst/demand for Ventilators. I see more cats rocking NB, Asics, Saucony than retro Reebok runners. Do these shoes have a cult following in other parts of the word besides N.America?
Well, this year it's all about capitalizing on the 25th anniversary of the Ventilator ala Asics with their Gel-lyte III.  Also, I imagine Reebok is fully cognizant of the cash cow that is the current runner's market so they're trying to carve out their niche and grab a larger piece of pie so to speak by retroing some of their more renowned models.

Man that Packer pair is the first collab that I truly like since, since they last actually for the ASW the Shaq Neon. Now those are some top notch materials there.

trent, I like 'real' materials like yourself but suede shoes in general (and in my honest opinion) are utter garbage for daily wear.

Yeah I know what you are saying, but to be honest I will take suede any day instead of fuse, synthetic leather, patent leather and all that fake garbage.

If they're using suede and plastic on everything - what exactly are they doing with leather?

I understand people wanting the retros to have real quality materials but the new shoes are performance based. The athletes are bigger, faster. So the synthetics cater to that. The price is the problem to me. Like the LeBrons but Dann near $300 for his sig

So you think the fuse will hold longer and stronger than thick full grain leather, I am not too sure about that. For me its the marketing at their best, convincing the customer that the raw materials from the 90's are no good and we should all switch to plastic synthetics. Last time I checked, top fission brands like Armani, Versace, Hugo Boss and so on are still using top quality leathers for their shoes, I wonder why? Heck even the local US based and most foreign producer of cowboy style boots are producing almost 95% products using genuine leather materials, from  a variety of animals. So again, my believe is that giants like Nike and Adidas are using the plastic simply to save money, just like they all shifted production to China instead of Korea, for the same monetary reason.

THIS.

Sure the synthetics ARE durable...but MORE durable than a good leather shoe? Nope...the ONLY upside it has over leather IMO is for all you crease crazy nutjobs is that it really doesn't crease, so your plastic kicks stay looking plastic longer

But seriously that's about it. It's far cheaper to manufacture synthetics and crank them out than using a higher grade leather. Hell, look at JB. Their remastered stuff is barely remastered but they're saying that they have to charge more for it. Whatever.

You can perform just as well in some canvas Chucks as you can in some top fuse hybrid nonsense.

Anybody who doesn't agree just watch this performance review from Nightwing2303 on the Way of Wade 808...full grain leather upper...

I know when I am on IG searching reebok stuff and come across a reebok heavy collection, the person seems to be usually from Europe.

Yeah I probably have to agree with you Kane, especially among Reebok retros, they truly feel like pillows, I enjoy wearing them a lot

I stated the same in my review above - it is a damn shame that a Nike/JB retro product with a stripped or non-present sockliner and no cushioning commands a premium while a well made shoe like the Blast languishes on clearance racks.

The only flaw with the Blast was the use of cheap, plastic 'leather' on the white parts.

JJ has never charged me tax and they have 15 or 20% off on top of the price of $39, only shipping, so about the same I guess or a little less, but yeah if Villa dont have shipping charges right now, definitely a great price.

Nothing bad with these, just doesn't grab me though. I think its going to be a pass on these.

Also, anyone get their END Husky in hand yet? If so how are they? I am excited for mine to arrive!

Got mine today man - blown away by the quality and care put into the shoe and packaging. No joke, releases like this put nike/jb to shame. Will post pics later, time permitting.

The box that it comes in is mad slick. Strong build quality - I was expecting it to be light and flimsy but no.

And for $140ish... Man.
