SEATTLE SEAHAWKS THREAD

I wonder if he'll still have a shot at a job when he comes back next year.  Sucks for BB, he missed out on his chance for a huge contract (probably from someone else) after all that work to make it in the league.

why BB? why? |I

Tru worked out for Seattle today. Perrish Cox expected to do so tomorrow. Winfield supposedly thinking it over with his family whether to sign or not. Probably wants to be guaranteed a roster spot for the playoffs, if anything. He's got some leverage there.

It would be nice to have these guys for depth.  I'm glad that we already survived (thrived) the end of last year with Lane and Maxwell, so we know there isn't going to be some big drop off.

The bye week really killed us, guys.

Please leave Trufant off the field.
Cox would be interesting, if he can fix his off the field issues

Two names mentioned in regards to CB depth (prior to the BB suspension)

:710 ESPN Seattle ‏@710ESPNSeattle Pete Carroll says CB Tharold Simon will begin practicing this week. CB DeShawn Shead 'is very close' to being a part of the 53-man roster

I think the magnitude of the news is overshadowing that Thurmond will be back before regular seasons end. Browner was all but confirmed to miss at least the remainder of the season and his status for the playoffs was up in the air.

His market is trashed now. I'll be shocked if another team inquires on his services...but wouldn't be shocked if it were the Hawks doing so. He'll be out til this time next year - a team as deep & talented as this one could take a flier with little to no consequence. It reminds me of a Leroy Hill type situation.
Latest http://NFL.com  report says that CB Perrish Cox is visiting VMAC on Tuesday
I've read various reports on Cox. One stating he visited last week for a workout, another saying he's signed, and this is the most current. Of all the names being floated around Cox & Shead are the two I'd like to see picked up. Don't trust Winfield coming off the couch after essentially retiring, and Tru wouldn't do much other than make for a nice story.

Team is very high on Shead, I'll bet on him over anyone else at this point.

For me the Thurmond news always felt way more impactful than BB's situation...team hasnt missed a beat when BB has been out

I still rock with BB though, just bewildered how someone who finally got his foot in the door in the league..was on the verge for his first big payday by some team just blows it all away :smh:

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter

Seattle will sign former 49ers CB Perrish Cox if he passes his physical today and team also is considering placing CB Brandon Browner IR.

Seahawks losing Browner gonna hurt a bit but man, I believe Percy Harvin is going to be the most important player (non-qb) coming down the stretch in the entire league. Have a feeling hes going to breakout sunday, been my favorite player since his florida days :pimp:

Would be wild if we ended up being able to keep BB because of this...

Apparently it's going to be raining and in the 30s on Monday... Perfect weather for a dome team to come around.

Hopefully the best case scenario happens and Browner can get healed and healthy, and resign for cheap.

*gets paid 40 from the Jets or Dolphins*

I'd much prefer it if Harvin had a breakout game on Monday, but that's just me.

Anyone know if Parrish Cox is going to be a decent addition? Carroll said the team will be fine, but New Orleans passing game has me shook.

Anyone heading to the game on Monday?

The seahawks usually email me every week to buy tickets from them around thursday or friday before a home game. If there is anything decent i will be going

Damn, that Browner stuff is just further proof the league is out to get the Seahawks. There's no other way around it. Questionable officiating all season on the secondary, now sidelining their #2 and #3 DBs right before the Monday night showdown (knowing the Saints can't throw outside a dome)? Come on, man.
