SEATTLE SEAHAWKS THREAD

Are we sure his name his pronounced Kristin?

Folks just being generous. That's a ChrisTINE if I've ever seen one. No wonder he runs with a chip on his shoulder.

That Jesse Williams avy! :smokin

Hope he stays healthy.

Really intrigued to see a Beastmode and Chris-TIN thunder and lightning duo. I like Turbin too though, we'll see what they have up their sleeves.

And hopefully Chris Harper out of K-State can train hard and become our answer to SF's pickup of Boldin. Big body possession receiver.

Needless to say, I'm juiced for the season.

Question for Seahawks fans. IMO Richard Sherman is the best CB in the leauge right now and has become so in only his second season in the leaugue. My question is what was the knock on Sherman comming out of college that allowed him to fall all the way to the 5th round of the 2011 draft?

Position switch in college, plus the NFL still has an aversion to large DBs. Also, might have been some character issues stemming from how he didn't get along with Harbaugh at Stanford (hence the switch to defense). Pete Carroll made it a priority from Day 1 to have big defensive backs though, so they were definitely targeting him.

Slow, no natural instinct, bad teammate, no experience

So after more research...the tentative plan at RB is spearheading a three headed monster of Lynch, Michael, and Turbin (Ware or Robinson at FB?) in an effort to keep Lynch fresh in the 4th as well as late in the season.

Fantasy Football aside, this sounds like an awesome plan for the Seahawks. Lynch seems like he has been used more than any other RB lately, and I don't want to see him get Eddie George'd.

Sounds great to me.

Offensively, this team is going to have the option to attack in so many ways.

I like it. Turbin's been looking good, I really hope Michael can play. Like you said, whatever it takes to keep the Beast put there.

Yep that's exactly it. Some are even speculating he was hurt towards the end of the season thus all the fumbles and whatnot, so they take a page out of the Texans playbook - when they drafted Ben Tate in the 2nd round the year after Foster broke onto the scene. Pete always used 2-3 RB's rotating while at SC, too.

He's the kind of player the hawks haven't had before.

Steal of the draft.

Oh ok, I didnt know Richard Sherman and Harbaugh didnt get along in college. Now it makes sense as to why Sherman told RGIII not to come to Stanford during Griffin's on campus visit. Also, I'm sure Sherman and Carroll's shared dislike of Harbaugh didnt bother Carroll

It'll probably be 1000 times better than when we tried it with TJ Duckett, Maurice Morris, and Julius Jones. :x Julius Jones

I'm reapplying for my seat on the bandwagon if the lions' season goes up in flames again.

I figure I'll get my spot early.

New Mike Rob

These guys really seem close.

This is what I like about this team compared to literally every Seahawks team in the past: they have personality and an identity. Having a charismatic guy like Russell Wilson in charge on the field, and Pete Carroll controlling all of it has really worn off on everyone.

These videos are great.

So much truth. Even with being a fan of the guys like Alexander, Trufant, Tatupu, Engram, and Galloway, you never really got to know them. Hasselbeck was probably the lone guy with personality, and that was mostly "We want the ball, and we're gonna score."
