I like Thigpen. *shrugs*

Some may or may not llike this, but I feel he's similar to a Tarvaris Jackson type, but with a tad more of a propensity to get the ball down the field. The year Thigpen started for KC, he wasn't bad. When you take him and Tarvaris and look at them as starters, you're underwhelmed, but as a backup, you're content.

For the most part, he's still an enigma

(outside of the Lions/Patriot games)

Last preseason when he had his chances to start, he was ok. Alot of short passes on short routes and to the backs (albeit efficient but wasnt getting a ton of yards on attempts) . He had some a few good deep throws but he still looked tentative imo and wasnt taking chances down the field. I do feel he has some good awareness in the pocket. With his arm strength he's going to benefit the most in a west coast offense

He won't be any worse than Carson and for alot less money. I feel that Flynn i gonna play out his contract and go somewhere else. Raiders just need a stop gap until better QB prospects in 2014

Thanks for that breakdown. At the very least, he'll be competition for Pryor to become a better player. Either way, not expecting Matt Flynn to save us at all...if he'll be serviceable for a helluva lot cheaper price than Carson, I'm all on board.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the Seahawks plan to re-sign free agent QB Josh Portis.
Portis was signed by the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent following the 2011 draft, but he has never appeared in an NFL game. The soon-to-be 26-year-old was cut from the practice squad last November.
