I wonder how they'll play it...thurmond needs to keep his *** on the field

^ Tru has been food all year from what I've seen. Damn shame they IR'd Thurmond again....

son will probably never get it right.

Lane should probably look better than he did today w/ Browner back.

Yep, Tru hasn't been able to keep up with the speed guys all year. Having the option of Lane, Maxwell and Tru should bode well going forward now

Tru will always be my dude. I would rather they just gradually fade him out down the rotation and let him go out on his own than if they just got rid of him

I hope he takes a seat since Browner will be back. Having him in against the Skins in the playoffs will be bring back memories of Milloy getting smoked by Greg Olsen of the Bears a few years back.

Doesn't matter who is playing, just be glad Jason Whitten isn't the TE they have to face on the road. Yeah, the Seahawks beat the Cowboys this season, but Whitten ran wild and dropped a few passes that could have made that game a lot closer. On his home field, it could be very different.

Skins fans checking in.

can you guys believe 3 rookie QBs and potential ROY candidates are all in the playoffs? :wow:

let me be the first to throw this out there..i am sure as hell happy that we are not playing at Qwest..that is a recipe for disaster.

Seattle has to come to Fed-ex..a town that hasn't had a relevant ******** team in 20 years..a team who hasn't hosted a playoff game since 99..a team that made it to the playoffs twice in 05' and 07' seasons and got bounced by YOUR Seahawks.

we are out for blood.

good luck to both teams.

RG3 not being 100% and the Seahawks defense playing at a higher level than everyone else,

It'll be a run fest between beastmode and Morris, but Seahawks have too much imo and should win.

Have them as NFC favorites for a few weeks

Seattle is a hell of a team but I'm picking Washington.

Aside from the bears, Seattle hasn't really beat anyone on the road this season and their a different team to me on the road. That said I can see the winner of this game either or going to the NFC title game. Playing Atlanta in the divisional round is a much better alternative then San Francisco or Green Bay

I'm not afraid at all that this team has to go on the road and probably won't play again at C-Link for the rest of the season. That win in Chicago swung things around completely. Very much a different team now than earlier in the season when they played on the road. They know what it takes to win those road games now and that is, put the ball in Russell's hands.

This game is going to be a great one. The key will be stopping Alfred Morris. After watching RG3 last night with that bum knee it doesn't look as if he'll do too much running. I expect the defense to have a great game, just have to limit turnovers and we should be fine.

[Russell Wilson] Go Hawks! [/Russell]

Different times of year though. Seattle has been on a rampage no matter where they play of late. Since it's the playoffs, I expect it to be close, but Seattle is more well-rounded a squad overall.

Wouldn't be surprised if Washington won, but just don't think it happens just yet for them.

So Gus is getting a look from Philly?

Seahawk's coordinators are becoming a hot commodity these days

Tony Pauline, SI.com: "The Seahawks made another questionable decision, tabbing Wilson in the third frame. Wilson is destined to sit behind newly-signed Matt Flynn and will struggle to see the field at any point over the next three years."

Jason Cole, Yahoo! Sports: "The Seahawks spent a third-round pick on Wilson even though the history of QBs under 6-foot is poor, to say the least. You don't spend a third-round pick on a guy who'll be lucky to be Seneca Wallace. You also don't do that after signing Matt Flynn as a free agent. The Seahawks are no closer to solving the QB situation now than they were before 2011."

Pete Prisco, CBSSports.com: "Why does Seattle take him? They paid Matt Flynn and have two others. Strange pick."

Joseph Fell, Cold Hard Football Facts: "Just as soon as Seahawks fans began to shell out their hard-earned money for jerseys with Flynn’s name on the back, Carroll once again demonstrated his flair for the dramatic by announcing that Wilson would be the Seahawks’ starting quarterback this fall. This experiment will prove a disaster. … Starting Wilson will most likely lead to another wasted season, and this move may be the one that leads owner Paul Allen to fire Carroll."

Wes Bunting, National Football Post: "Wilson is a plus athlete who can spin the football and gives you a nice run/pass threat. However he's undersized, is going to struggle to consistently make plays from the pocket and is still learning how to work his way through defenses. He is worth a pick late, but I don't see the guy as a potential starter in the NFL. Reserve only."

Mel Kiper Jr., ESPN: "Russell Wilson is a great test case for shorter QBs, because he has everything else, but did they need him in the third round after grabbing Matt Flynn to come in and likely start?"

Elpablo21, Niketalk: "Im ready for Matt Flynn"

651akathePaul, Niketalk: Intangibles. And some of you say you don't believe in that. Rubbish. This kid defines it. I already knew Russell Wilson would be good and you can dig up old threads for proof. His offensive line was mammoth at Wisconsin and in size, comparable to an NFL line so he's no stranger to throwing over a wall. One of the best ways to combat that is with your release point. With Russell, he’s got almost an over exaggerated overhand delivery that gives the ball a very high release point and the trajectory of the ball is on a plane that zips over the line. This alone is huge, but what makes him even more successful for being a short guy is taking a page directly from the Drew Brees quarterback manual. His depth on his drop back is usually two or more yards deeper than what you’ll see from “protypical” quarterbacks. A deeper first drop step leads to more distance created between the line and him. This invariably creates the space needed to have the vision to see the field a lot better than someone like Flutie, who always had to rollout or change his release points and arm angles to create his own window. Not to say that there won’t be a plethora of rollouts because as you see with Brees, shorter quarterbacks still like to create even more space in the open field and when you have an athlete and dynamic playmaker like Russell, it just adds that much more spice to your passing attack. There are really only good things to say about Wilson at this point. His arm strength is in the plus category. His hands are huge so if you’re worried about fumbles, it’s probably a non-issue. Moxy…He’s got it. Russell stepped right into a leader capacity. Communicated with receivers on what he wanted them do. His quick study of the Badger playbook proved to be invaluable because he’s done the same with Bevell's playbook. Obviously he’s extremely intelligent. I’m really high on Russell and my evaluations back that up. It is no whim. I trust my opinion. You’ll see some mistakes from Wilson, but you may not seem them twice. If you don’t believe the things I’ve said then just watch and see for yourself. This kid is the real deal.

A little bit longer, but had a lot to say.
