I've been saying this needs to be done! Please let it happen! Winfield is arguably the best slot corner in the game right now and if this happens the draft is just going to get easier and easier for the Seahawks.

On the real though, this is a monster signing for Seattle. Completely fills any gap left in the second level of that defense. Winfield had one of his better years last year despite his age, and his tackling skills are still second to no one from the DB spot. He was still Minnesota's best cover corner and that was from going up against teams' #1, so putting him up against slot receivers should skew the advantage to Seattle's side completely now. Good signing.

This defense just looks amazing, especially the secondary. And to think not too long ago we were slumming it up with Kelly Jennings, and Lawyer Malloy was an upgrade
