Hey...I love ya'll, I've said that. But I don't have to love the Seahawks. Besides...What's better than a little sibling rivalry, bros?

The Seahawks made a few big splashes early this offseason by landing wide receiver Percy Harvin and defensive end Cliff Avril and they’re still talking to other veterans about possibly coming to Seattle.

The name value isn’t quite as high as those earlier acquisitions, but Adam Caplan of TheSidelineView.com reports that offensive lineman Eben Britton worked out for the Seahawks recently. Britton has played both guard and tackle since the Jaguars made him a second-round pick in 2009, although he’s hardly been a fixture at either spot.

Britton started 15 games as a rookie in Jacksonville, but has made just 15 starts over the last three years for a line that has hardly ranked among the most imposing in the league. Injuries have been a factor in keeping Britton out of the lineup, but he was benched after five starts at left guard in 2012 and the Jags have shown no interest in retaining his services.

The Seahawks don’t have an ideal situation at right tackle with Breno Giacomini and there would be some benefit to increasing the overall talent level at guard. While it’s hard to say that Britton would be an upgrade at either spot, the Seahawks have done well by creating competition at spots over the last couple of years and may have the same thing in mind with Britton.

Thank God none of our big games made it to Thursday Night. It's the worst thing the NFL now has going.

I remember Rich Eisen lobbying for a 9ers/Hawks game on Thursday...
