SEATTLE SEAHAWKS THREAD

I'm sure he does know that, and would be willing to restructure at some level.

But with Luke Willson stepping up, and Anthony McCoy coming back (plus draft potential), do we want to spend any vet money at the TE position?

I like having Zach though.  He does the things that matter.

I wouldnt want to get rid of Zach with the potential of McCoy and a rookie, not this year

McCoy should be dirt cheap as well, wouldnt affect their decision to keep or cut Zach imo

You guys see the SoundFX that just came up on NFL.com?

Best quote is Pete, totally stonefaced: "Woah...  Kam almost killed that guy."

If Tate's number he has in mind is 4-5 million per, all good.

But if he really wants that extra 3-4 million, well it was fun having ya

We'll see how this plays out.

Funny how after the game and parade, those "I wanna stay here forever" thoughts start to change

Aint eem mad

Restructuring is just pushing money into the later years of the contract which is probably even worse. He needs to take a paycut or he's out.

I don't see Tate getting huge offers on the open market anyway. Or it would be a mistake for whoever did.

I say we let go of Tate, especially with how Doug and Kearse were ballin this past year. Resigning Bennett is crucial though.

As for everyone else, it's business and with the team philosophy of constant competing, let the best players start and play.

It sucks for those of us who become attach to these guys, but I'm all in when it comes to Pete's Win Forever philosophy.

I wouldn't be surprised if they let Sherm walk, or refuse to give Russ a huge QB contract when time comes. Call me delusional, but I wouldn't be surprised if Russ actually takes less than what he could get.

In my personal opinion a few QBs may not demand the enormous Rodgers/Flacco contracts, when they take a look at those player's situations and realize it actually makes things much tougher for that quarterback's career.

They've been unable to protect them , losing Pass catchers, etc.

If you guys arent familiar with Davis Hsu, you should follow him on twitter or his articles on FieldGulls

Been checking him out the last couple years, he knows his stuff in regards to the numbers game, specifically with the Seahawks

I hope we can keep the D intact, Bennett is a must. Rice is a good as gone and I think Miller is going to have to take a pay cut to stay.

It made me sad to hear on the radio that Red Bryant might be a cap casualty. I wouldn't mind losing Tate if Harvin wasn't so injury prone.

We need to get Earl and Sherman locked up now as well, because when it comes time to re-sign Wilson....

Congrats to all the Seahawks fans in here. Well-deserved and an elite defensive performance in-line with the Steel Curtain, 1985 Bears, 1986 Giants, 2000 Ravens, 2002 Bucs.

Davis Hsu, Jacson Bevens, and Danny Kelly are must-follows.
Definitely.

Can't remember where exactly I read it, but I could see the possibility of Rice being re-signed after being cut, Given his recent numbers and injuries. Not sure how much more he would get outside of Seattle.

-Golden Tate has 50 missed tackles on his receptions since 2011. No other WR has more than 41.

-Golden Tate has dropped 5 of 149 catchable passes in the last 3 seasons, lowest rate of any WR.

-Top 2013 PFF punt return grades
1.Golden Tate +11.9
2.McCluster +7.2
3.Jeremy Ross +7.1
4.Brandon Tate +6.4
5.Antonio Brown +6.3

Doubt JS lets Tate go he's too valuable despite what some think. And I think Doug joins A Luck after one more year with us.

Cut Rice, tender DB, resign Tate, and use a high draft pick on a big WR.

I personally think they keep Baldwin over Tate, and it's because I believe Dougie has a higher ceiling.

But Tate had a monster you if you think about it. 900 yards on a team that passes it the least in the NFL is pretty damn good. Plus he is a major weapon in blocking and punt returns. So who knows what happens.

At least 90...  I feel like we should be appreciating how humble and generous he's being
