SEATTLE SEAHAWKS THREAD

Heart of the defense locked up for another 4 years is :smokin

Im go 4 years,50-52 mil 30 or so guaranteed

Jeff Ireland hired as a draft consultant..thats the last guy I'd think you'd want for that

Ireland hit on a few late round picks in Miami. I guess thats what he could be tasked to do for the Seahawks.

Can't believe he signed for only 40 over 4! That's awesome. Probably took a slight dip in per year pay for the massive guaranteed money

Earl Thomas re-signing press conference:

He's an intense dude

Man... that Sherm contract. I gotta say, I think ET is more valuable than Sherm. Glad we've got em both locked up tho. and Kam!

Mike Loyko ‏@NEPD_Loyko

Just got it confirmed to me "Seattle got their guy stolen from them" "They packed up shop after that pick".

Im reading it was Easley

CODY LATIMER, please drop to 40.

But if Bitonio is there, might need to grab that with what the Rams did in round 1.

It seems like some people are mad that we didn't take Marqise Lee with the 32nd pick. I'm happy to get another second round pick. Hawks will find some pieces there.

Essentially, Schneider saying that the meat of their draft board hits in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, and they have a big group of players to choose from there with similar grades. This gives them flexibility to trade back and still pick up highly-rated players for their team. As Schneider relates,
"Every year there are 'upsets,' we call them 'upsets,' where it's actually a good thing, you know, because it keeps our board kind of intact. So, you just expect a certain number of those as you go, and this year there were more, so it worked out great."

I could see them moving #40 tonight, we'll see

Guess everyone wanted a big WR except JS and Pete

Especially if Lee was their first choice as well

I'm beyond questioning what we do.  We like big corners.  I guess we like small, fast WRs.  Should be a VERY fast offense next year.

We're already a great big play offense, and now we have some burners.

Now the screen/short game should be even more dynamic as well.

I wonder if this means anything for Dougie still being here going forward
There's been some rumors that he's working on a deal right now.  I like Doug but I don't think he's worth a ton of money.

...Don't tell him I said that.
