Didnt catch this news until yesterday

The team waived Garrett Scott (6th round pick) over the weekend. because of a heart condition

But they still signed him so he could receive his signing bonus and insurance for the year.

Great move by the org

yeah thats awesome. hopefully he can get medically cleared at some point and get another shot with the team.

Yeah, hopefully come next year there is better news for him...I assume he'll be placed on IR after clearing waivers?

Other news..

Hawks sign Horace Miller out of Utep, another uber-athletic LB into the fold

Crazy Pete.

Even the fact that Sherm was mentioned too

Hard to call bluff on him...Still expect Percy to be there in the end, even so P.Rich and Christine to get looks.

Speaking of #33...
Christine Michael is a million miles ahead of where he was last year in terms of understanding scheme, protection, routes, etc. The team expects a lot from him this year.

Probably more excited about him  more than anyone right now

This article had some nice insight on the 5 QBs on the roster at the moment:  http://www.ottawacitizen.com/sports...pressive+than+dollar+signs/9882738/story.html

“Russ is the ultimate leader,” added receiver Percy Harvin. “Any time he wants to get people together it does nothing but build more on what we did last year. Are we better for that? Absolutely. Any time you have a leader who does things like that, people will follow.”

this is from a dude who demanded a trade because of his inability to deal with his last set of QBs.

Yeah I was the same way, I was like "Yo!!! Sherm is in the finals!" and after I realized it was Madden, I thought "damn, Sherm is in the Finals..."

What makes you feel that way?
Richardson has the pedigree, but I worry about his injury history (ankle, MCL, ACL). Vertical threat, but not big or strong. Gets bodied, makes you worry about creating separation.

I feel Norwood was underutilized at run-heavy Bama. Better build than Richardson. Knows how to get open, good hands.

Plus you know I love value. R2 selection vs. R4 pick. Less risk, pressure with Norwood. He's always unheralded and thrives under those circumstances.

I hear ya Champ.

PRich's injury history has me a little concerned hopefully the extra pounds he's been putting on will help some.

He's always unheralded and thrives under those circumstances.

Perfect fit for Seattle and what Pete wants in a player. Kid sounds like he'll be reliable from day 1
