Would any of us be surprised if this FO doesn't offer Russell a huge QB contract?
Love Russell and everything he does/is for the Hawks, but I can definitely imagine the FO approaching him and convincing him to give a home town discount.

I think as an FO, u have to take that approach to an extent.
But he's getting at least Dalton money, at this point and depending how the rest of the season goes...that might be a hometown discount

Russ gonna get PAID..both sides know it. He just fired his agent to get ready. This FO likes to reward their own-like KJ said he got paid more than he was asking.

I'm with Dalton money, just not top 2 QB money. I just don't want an "our QB is awesome so we want to give him a record-breaking contract" deal.

Damn they blessed KJ...kinda cool to see the positives reactions to this FO ever since they stepped in and how they treat these guys.
I think Russy gets 20+ guaranteed wise..who knows how the other parts of the contract work out
Probably backloaded, should help with the flexibility while the cap continues to grow over the years

I don't like sf by any stretch, by duping cLOLin into that contract was the most hilarious thing I've witnessed in contract negotiations. Dude gonna lose out on like 8m next year alone, let alone yrs after.

He went to his baseball agent. The agent he fired is agent for Cam Newton and many others, so no reason he couldn't negotiate a big payday.
