SEATTLE SEAHAWKS THREAD

Members of the team definitely believe Pete was trying to elevate Russ instead of Marshawn. Extending Marshawn, followed by Wagner, before Russ is the only way to get some of that respect back.

I believe Russ lost millions on that call/throw alone...

In regards to Pete, competent fans will understand that going for it at the end of the half put the Hawks in position to get the W. A lot of us know Bevell is as much, or more, to blame than Pete.

Injuries lost the game and brain dead football decisions in the clutch cost yall the game.

Full strength Seahawks defense doesn't give up that 10pt lead.
Your offense only got a field goal after the second Brady interception. A touchdown down puts you up 14.

That last play is by far the worst thing I've seen in a Super Bowl. As a football fan, I feel for you dudes. You shouldn't have to feel like this today.

There's no excuse for that play call. Not sure what happened during that final minute of the game with your coaching staff, but that's a mistake that can ruin professional relationships.

is it worse than Leon Lett though?

Nooooooo, not Leon Lett!!!

Bro I'm not trying to pour salt in the wound. Speaking strictly as a lifelong fan of the game.

But to answer your question, the Leon Lett play was just icing on the cake.
The trophy already had our team name and logo on it by that play.

nobody's mentioned Kearse. If Kearse put his body out there for a bigger block on Butler, RL coulda made that play. oh well. tear....:smh:

That's the under-reported weakness of the receivers. They've been horrible at blocking all season.

Damn, feel like returning/selling that SB media/game day jacket. Pains me to even look at it.
mean.gif

Just want to find a way to take the SB logo off it and leave the Hawks logo on.

Everybody could, or should have seen that last night.

That's actually one of the first things that came to mind, how the image of Russell was more palatable for an MVP award, but also in becoming the hero on the biggest stage in sports.

It's utterly despicable.

Russell is the automaton who does as he's told with no backbone, or as I stated in a post last night he lacks "soul"; from that moment on I couldn't help myself from turning heel on the guy and deservedly so despite we've been feed by the media.

Why not call an audible?

It goes deeper than just deciding to throw the ball on the one yard line.

Watch his press conference, he said he couldn't check out or audible out of play. Coaches wanted the pass, he listened to his coaches. Obviously with hindsight, he shouldn't have.

Watch the Sound FX of the NFCCG if you think anyone on this Hawks team lacks "soul", drive, or determination.

good game, fellas. saw a couple you come in to our thread to say congrats so wanted to say thanks for that. that was a helluva game. did not make it easy for us.

That's not an indictment against the entire roster, more so in regards to Russell Wilson.

Tharold Simon gives nightmare flash backs of Jennings and Herndon

Brady must have been licking his chops when he saw Lane go down. That was a recipe for disaster.

congrats DSA

I hope to never see Simon on the field again.

if Maxwell leaves, FO has to ante up on getting depth back on the DL back to mask Simon from being picked on so much.

I see it, but for him to stick with that play is ridiculous.

He's not a general like most great quarterbacks.

You think Brady would have stuck with that play?

Only wanted to address this...

Dude is in his 3rd year as QB, obviously he doesn't have the power like Brady to just do what ever he wants yet. And as addressed earlier, he couldn't check/audible. Outside of Manning, everyone one has a respected higher authority.

Would a 3rd year Brady listen to Belichick if he did the same thing? Would a 3rd year Aaron Rodgers did the same thing to McCarthy? Would a 3rd year Drew Brees do the same thing to Sean Payton if he was his coach then? Don't even know if he tried to sway their opinion or not and the coaches didn't want to, all we know is they went with the pass at the end.

Still hurts bros. But back to back bowls and favored to go back again? Cant be mad at this team. But damn it still hurts.

I dont understand Simon, man. The LOB seems to think he is the most talented DB on the team, but he has been getting used and abused. If he doesn't live up to the hype, gotta look elsewhere since Tall Tee is probably gone.

Cam frequently calls audible.
