SEATTLE SEAHAWKS THREAD

710 speculating that the 900k might be the fine money that the Hawks won't budge on.

All this work was for his next contract, not the current one. Him moving his 2017 money to 2016 gives him more leverage for an extension since his salary would be incredibly low in 2017 cause he's not going to play for ~2.7m in 2017. So basically all this is for him to be able to renegotiate a deal when he's 29 after the 2016 season instead of 30 after the 2017 season.

So pretty much more Kam Chancellor contract talk at the end of next season as well.

Thats insanity.

Kam (or his agent) wants him to get paid more next season just so the Seahawks will have to definitely go through the same bull the year after?! What kind of logic is that?

I guess the difference between 2.7 and 3.6 in your last year is a huge negotiating factor, thats the only sense this makes if the Seahawks offered 8.1 for next year.

but even in his last year John at that point would be open to re-negotiating without the need of a holdout threat.

Maybe if he didn't sign this in the first place he wouldn't have this issue. Must have not believed in himself

I might be wrong, but when he did sign it, wasnt it a pretty good contract at the time? Its just not as good as what DB's get nowadays.

Hold outs suck. If you sign a contract, honor the contract.

Granted, NFL contracts suck too in that its not all guaranteed like other sports, which is a whole other topic, but still, if you sign, you should honor it.

I'm glad Dion has that confidence. Anything short of that wouldn't fly in that locker room. Now let it show on the field bro!

I think second highest safety
It's still the biggest for a SS, isn't it?

Dion's a confident guy to say the least

All I hear from friends and even sports radio here in the Bay, is that Nick Moody was a surprise cut.

It would be interesting to see him slim back down to SS weight and see what he can do.
