But can they build a better trackpad?

The keyboard had to change.

It was a month after Vizio had revealed its new line of PCs at CES 2012, where the company had received near-universal praise for its slim designs, clean Windows builds, and promises of low prices. But the keyboard was contentious: it looked striking but didn’t seem all that comfortable to use. After using the CES prototypes for weeks, Vizio’s team decided to change it up — not only the design of the keycaps, but the feel of the inner mechanism as well. “Are you sure?

^ looks like a bootleg Mac, to be honest.

But they definitely have a lot of potential.

Sold off my Corsair Vengeance RAM to a friend just in time for the Dominator GTs coming in. Currently in the process of selling my motherboard and my Corsair H80 CPU cooler. Power Supply's next after that. Hope they go away fast!

and then the upgraded one is OC and has faster stock speeds but cost less

This. Plenty of GTX 670s sold direct from Amazon.com to go around. No need to go third-party. The Windforce cooler on the OC version is pretty good, too. Good temps if you don't mind the extra heat exhausted inside of your case.

Finally got my Dominator GTs from Amazon. Just bought the kit only... wondered why it came in a big box (subsequently costing more

). Then, I see this:

Amazon goofed -but in a good way.

Got the 1866MHz + the Airflow RAM Cooler (which I already sold to a friend) for just $84.99.

Already sold my old RAM and PSU about an hour ago. Picking up a new Seasonic P-1000 PSU later after work.

One more thing... a friend might hook me up with a great deal on this Motherboard I've had my eye on for a while. Hopefully the deal works out.

Got the Seasonic P-1000 in and have it installed in my system. Really good quality PSU. Really silent, too. Definitely impressive. Part of me still wants to get the AX1200 but it's $80 more over here. oh well.

^ specs look good. i love laptops that have dedicated numpads on them. it looks like it's a little hefty to carry around in between classes, though. Might be better to just get an Ultrabook for class and keep the rig at the dorm/house or something. That's just me. Plus you won't be tempted to game while inside class. Ah, the good old days with DualShock2 PC adapters...

It's 5.95 lbs.
I wouldn't mind an ultrabook but I really want to be able to be able to have a laptop to play games on and will last at least 3+ years. I was about to get a MBP but the fact that I'm paying so much and still not getting everythign I want bothered me

^ 5.95 lbs isn't bad... but it will weigh a ton after a while.

yeah. i get what you mean. My jaw dropped at the price of the new MBPs. $2,199

And there are the Alienware and Razer laptops...

After graduating from college, I haven't really felt the need for a laptop anymore. An ultrabook I might consider, though.

Anyone use these? M-Audio AV40. My speakers have officially hit the crapper. Think the right one is busted because all I hear are rattling sounds

I heard those M-Audio ones are nice.

Had to settle for the Bose Companion 2 Series II ($99.99 on Amazon for you guys, I think), since there aren't really any other good 2.0 speakers out here. Bose's Music Monitor series though...

at the price. Their size would've been perfect. But my speakers are fine. Good for watching movies. Sound is clean even when turned up to the max.

But I'd say it's still better to get to the store and have a listen to them yourself.

Definitely that ^^^.

Do you really need/prefer speakers? What about a good set of headphones? Sennheiser pc360 is the way to go if you are willing to drop a good amount of coin.

^ Beyerdynamic MMX300 should be nicer than the PC360. But the man wants speakers, lol.

Should've bought the PC360 myself over the A40 Wireless System if I knew I would be selling my PC that soon. Oh well.

It's all good.
