Do the Seahawks actually keep this fumbling, backwards falling guy after this season? Ever since he got his payday, he's been missing games, showing evenless passion than before and looks cowardly out there. Lets take a look at his salary for the next few years.

3/5/2006: Signed an eight-year, $62 million contract. The deal included an $11.5 million signing bonus, and $15 million in the first year.
2007: $1.4 million (+ $2 million roster bonus)
2008: $4.475 million
2009: $5.562 million
2010: $6.65 million
2011: $7.7375 million
2012: $8.825 million
2013: $9.9125 million

2012: Free Agent. Cap charges: $6.275 million (2007), $7.35 million (2008), $8.437 million (2009), $9.525 million (2010), $10.5 million (2011), $11.6 million(2012), $12.75 million (2013).

Not bad for a guy who owes his career to these 3 men:

I am convinced this man did one of three things:
  1. Slept with your mother
  2. Slept with your girlfriend
  3. Kicked your dog

Funny because Morris is Seattle's best running back this season. Dude should be awarded the starting role.

And yes, Alexander owes his OLine everything. Dude is no good without them.

4. Sucks at life and was vastly overrated for 3 years, forcing me to watch his horrible self on Sportscenter.

^^ That one.

Do you know how much is guaranteed? Can't we release this bum yet? Hopefully Jonathon Stewart falls to us and we draft him.

I just found this from walterfootball.com:

Seattle Seahawks: Felix Jones, RB, Arkansas

Shaun Alexander will be 31 by the start of the 2008 season, and he has already shown signs of declining. His willingness to fall to the ground when no running lanes are available, combined with his 3.3 yards-per-carry average this year is concerning. If the Seahawks don't cut Alexander at the end of the year, I'll be shocked, even though the fat slob has five more years on his deal.
EVERY Seahawks fan feels this way. Johri Fogerson > Shaun Alexander

i never liked this bum. i never liked his overrated team that manages to always get into the playoffs as a division winner by default because the other teamsin their division are hot garbage

[wouldn't it be cheaper to cut this bum?

Just cut him. His contract was probably frontloaded already with a signing bonus and other incentives.

NFL contracts aren't guaranteed.

Now that could be something.

He's never going to see a ton of that money. Still Seattle ended up giving him too much.

It goes to show that in most cases you should just move on and let your RB walk when he's looking for big money after year 5.

Football players are so stupid for signing backloaded contracts like this. The Seahawks can void it and cut him at any time, which will obviously happen at thelatest, after next season

Dude is a bum.

*side note, Troy Smith will probably start sunday for the Ravens.

I have no idea why I want this guy to be a starter in the NFL

. I never particularly liked him in college but I find myself cheering for him hard now.

they need to cut him. he lost his desire for the game it seems like and you cant have someone like that on the team.

This man speaks the truth.

Alexander killed my fantasy team last year. This year Morris was drafted before Alexander.
