NT, What Beer Do You Drink?

Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout. Ranks up there with some of the best I've had.

My package made to me this time around

Been wanting to try some Chicagoland stuff for awhile

A few cans came with dings on them that could have been pre existing...one had a little more than a ding but didn't rupture
Great choices.  That Lizard King is my favorite beer right now.

That 1Z Enuff is crazy....too bitter for my taste.

it was an extra so it's all good

first time around the package got damaged and wasn't delivered and i think it had 1Z Enuff and Unsessionable...a higher ABV and IBU IPA is not my preference but extras are whatever

Not a bad night at all with these two. Split the Lunch with the wife and having the Singlecut Fullstack myself now. First time trying Singlecut, definitely lives up to the hype.

Buddy of mine came through big time! Haven't had a bad beer from OH yet. Looking forward to trying these.

I'm in Aruba. For whatever reason, Rochefort 10 is only $US 4.74. While a 6 pack of goose island 312 was $30 something. No brainer, loaded up on the Rochefort

Met up with a fellow BA'er for a quick in person trade. A bottle of Hammerhead SS and Trillium Fort Point Pale Ale :smokin

Went through all of my single IPAs from a recent trade.

Ghost in the Machine. Lives up to the hype
Envie (a baby ghost) lives up to some newer hype
Night Shift year 4 DIPA lives up to the hype. Delicate Hop aromas and balance but its magical when it works

Then the others were a bit on the "above" average to average side.

BA scores not too far off imho

holy roller IPA, LA brewery. Sorta above par
St Arnold Art car out of Houston TX. Sorta average above par
Terrapin Hi 5 IPA. Very average for my area imho
Crowd Control by SPB. Sort of par for the course on a very good IPA /brewery front. Very good . But these days, most breweries have the very good IPAs/

Then there was a wolf and a lamb collab between NOLA and OB. Dry hopped Double Pils. It felt like a really good rendition of a local german pils, if not for a bit more hops. I really liked what the pils hops were trying to do to dry the beer out.

The stouts will be left for another month on a tasting front.. SO far, the higher rated BA scored beers, Parrish GITM and Envie, along with Night Shift 4 year IPA more than make up for what is sort of average stuff.

Ba scores have been a solid gauge for me for trying to pick out potential trade beers. Some beers, you have to follow their reputatiion and them see how it rates. But overall, months or weeks later, the score gauge has not let me down.

I'm now left with

Prairie Funky Gold Masic
Prairie Bomb
Clown Shoes flight of angry beasts IS
Pretty Things Barbapapa IS
Wiseaacare Asronaunt station IS
And a couple singles of GITM and Crowd Control.

I dont mess around in trades..

But now that I think about it, I have some imperial stouts lined up over time. I may want to try them all at once this mothers day weekend.. Last of some BCBS, some narwhal 2015, some 2015 ten fidy, and among those some backwoods bastard, and some FW Sucuba 2015. I need to clear this fridge for cleaner alternatives lol

Will be my first time trying this. Really looking forward to it. Got hooked up by the intern at my job.

Wish our interns hooked it up like that .

Sipping on some Lime Green Galaxies tonight. Really like this! Getting melon like qualities with some mild bitterness. Very easy drinking.
