NT, What Beer Do You Drink?

Not at all. The only one I really enjoy is Schlafly Pumpkin Ale. Only got that Almanac one because it's really a sour with pumpkin aged in wine barrels, and that sounds somewhat interesting to me.
Yeah, report back with that Almanac one. That was really the only one on their site I wanted to order but shipping was a ton and I didn't wanna spend more money just to justify the shipping cost. I ****ing love Pumpkin beer.

Edit: Wait, that site is different then what I was looking at...How much was shipping on your order?
I don't wanna talk about it.:wow:

fair enough;

i assume its as much as the site i was looking at which is why i didn't buy any beer.

Glad to see I'm not the only pumpkin beer non-lover here. I'm just not a fan of Oktoberfest beers in general :wow:

Wally, I'm gonna try to make a trip down to Alpine this weekend. Grapefruit Sculpin is plenty available where I'm at too. I'll keep you posted.

Some goodies arrived at da distro today.  Between this haul, Wally's Full Nelson/Project Dank package that should be arriving tomorrow, and my other order I'll be drinking good for quite some time.

^ I have yet to try an MBC beer. Might have to seek some out in the near future.
They don't really make a bad beer.  They're pricey, but they're all very high quality.  One of my favorite breweries.

I'm drinking a Lunch right now.  It's definitely very good, but I think Another One has it beat.

Went to my local joint yesterday and bought some beers for the weekend! 4 new Pumpkin one's I haven't tried in the mix and then some random stuff my sister and I picked out.

Left to right:

Rare Vos (Amber Ale) - Brewery Ommegang

Saugatuck Brewing Co. Pumpkin Chai

Apex Predator - Off Color Brewing

Punk'n Harvest Pumpkin Ale - Uinta Brewing Company

Lakefront - Imperial Pumpkin

Fierce - Off Color Brewing

I was kicking myself last year for not buying enough DFH Punkin, so I grabbed a case today, along with a bottle of Cigar City's Cucumber Saison.

Meyer23, nice weekend haul. What's left after three days?

For me, I got caught beer shopping twice in a week already. Not looking good.

Last week was 4 elevated four packs ( some for a trade), some project danks ( more for a trade), and some Santa Fe pilsner. I get caught buying doubles. One for trade partner and some for me now lol.

Today was more of a German day
800

original. Vitus. Hefe. Gonna have all three shortly. I got caught buying more elevated, and two Santa Fe seasonal six packs. I've had all of this before. So it'll be familiar. I'm a familiar drinker most of the time.

And this just shows up
800

Neosole89 comes through once again. I owe you man. Nice extras. Hold me to that the next time lol. Half this stash will be gone by tomorrow. No holding back

No problem man. Glad they made it there safely. Patiently waiting for UPS to deliver your package haha.

With this run, probably nothing. We actually bought all that with the intentions of a beer tasting gathering. Have some beer on the way as well. I found that Sculpin but I can't stand IPA's so I passed on it.

That's a nice little haul you have there as well. I usually go crazy once a month or so and buy random stuff to try and actually, I make notes of this thread when recommendations are made and I can find it.

Meyer23, some ipas are abrasive and unbalanced. Sculpin is one I would never hesitate to pickup if fresh. Great Ipa that shows people that all IPAs are not over hopped hop bombs. Two hearted is another.

I would even include the og Ipa gateway beer, DFH 60 minute Ipa. Quite a bit malty but it has that sweetness and balance.

Neosole89, I'm pushing through these beers. Off to a great start

- brew free or die. Citrus and floral Hops diminished all around but really quite drinkable. Then I see the Abv. It doesn't have a crazy amount of sweetness. Some dryness on finish. Overall very solid. Its ba score of 86 seems a tough low. Maybe 88 ish. I can imagine more flavors when much fresher. It seems Sessionable but I doubt it is lol

- swamis Ipa. My type of Ipa. Tropical fruit smell. Huge bite of carbonation burn and bitterness upfront. Mouthfeel is medium. Nice all around bitterness. Tropical fruit taste not quite there. But it's a dry type of finish. ba score of 91 seems low. Is up to 93-94 Not much difference between this and a heady topper type of beer. Numbers can throw you off I guess.

Edit: going through more new beers today.
-FW oaktoberfest. Another winner from FW. Crisp and somewhat light tasting. Some great Sweetness from malts. No off flavors. A breeze to drink. Not quite as malty as a paulaner, or Sam Adams Of. I prefer this lighter styling. Impressive

Modern times coming up now.

Anybody who can normally get Pliny having a hard time getting it the last month or so?
I went to my local shop the other day and my dude told me that an email from Russian River came out about a month ago to all of the shops selling it.
Said something along the lines of no more posting of Pliny on social media (which my shop refuses to do anyways).
And from that date, they haven't gotten any inventory in.
