NT, What Beer Do You Drink?

Yeah, the planet series is very intriguing. I have one Mars left, and they were delicious (Gives Hopslam a run for its money) Picked up the Venus this week. It's a very different beer, seems to start sweet and then turns sour, very tangy/citrusy.

Both of those Avery beers are great, and will leave you feeling real good.

Has anybody in here tried Rumpkin or Pump(ky)n from Avery?
Picked one of each up on a whim the other night.

If you can still get these, my area was EXTREMELY Limited, i'd be interested in a trade or working something out of some sorts.

I split a bottle of Rumpkin on Tuesday night.  It's different, but it's good stuff.

Where are you from, Dukedude?  Might be willing to trade you one if you have something good to offer up.

As for me, I just picked this up after class today:

Creeker will be had shortly.

Took one of these beasts down last night. I bought two and have let them age about 8 months, the longest i've let one sit, and I was still not all that impressed.

Also was lucky enough to find a 6 pack of Great Lakes Christmas Ale last night, one of my favorites. I was surprised to see it this early.

With that said, My roommate and I plan on doing a "25 Days of Christmas" beer edition where we will drink one Christmas beer each day leading up to christmas. If anyone else is interested, perhaps we could put reviews in this thread.

I have a very well stocked cellar right now, PM me if interested. I'm from Cincinnati, but am currently in Lexington at UK.

Gotta say, fellas...I thought I was kind of an "in the know" person when it came to beer.

You guys are WAAAYYY over my head. But i'mma learn...damnit, I'mma learn!

Had one too many beers last night and ended buying a membership to the Bruery's Preservation Society. Did I make the right decision ?

Pretty interested in this...the local distributor doe the road just got it in

I've bought too much beer lately to justify buying a case of it and I just bought a six pack of flower power two days ago so I'll have to find a 12 pack somewhere

I'll be looking for you to check it in on untappd

Yup. Every quarter releases solid beers. Chocolate rain, white chocolate, Black Tuesday, etc. I was planning on getting a reserve society membership but didn't know they went on sale at midnight and were sold out when I logged on.

Membership only ensures a future purchase/allotment that is not discounted, but sold in bomber form?
I dont think my local breweries are at that level just yet. When a few La Cumbre beers released, they had some great buzz for that initial day. I can't imagine sellouts on just the opportunity to then BUY something.

They really have us by the balls.. I looked at my past 6 month beer spending's :smh:; I really hope BCBCS doesnt hit my area again and I'm forced to call to action on $150 worth of BCBCS as a split second decision

btw, i love the Revolution Brewery can art... I'm a sucker for knowing what kind of hops or malt etc.. that I will be consuming. Simple but very complete

Good for you! If I lived in CA or my buddy would help me out, out there, I'd sign up and split it with him but he's lazy

I hope I can get a hold of some Bourbon County this year. Just not sure I wanna line up on Black Friday to get it. I got REAL lucky last year and found a 4 pack hiding under a bunch of empty boxes after a bunch of people cleared my local place out.

Revolution Brewery arts is dope. Sometimes if I'm not looking for anything particular, I'll buy something that looks dope.

Pipeworks has some cool **** on their bottles, as well. Good beer, too.

Beer mail. Just in time for halloween

Any guesses what it may be?
Thanks fellow nter

Big things planned tonight with this.

for my 21st birthday next march im thinking about getting dinner and my first legal drink at DuClaw.

I live in MD and the DuClaw restaurant is like 15 min away from my house. Heard great reviews about their beer there.

Any recommendations?

three FBS 4 packs.. Im gonna oktoberfest the hell out of these :D.

Do not take FBS for granted. I'd stock it in my fridge for weekly consumption year round.

Heading on craft beer tour of NYC tomorrow sponsored by a local brew shop. Bus trip leaves from CT at the crack of down, so I picked up these for breakfast...

Resin and Flower Power are two of my favorites, hopefully somebody on the bus will be down to swap. Might have to crack the RIPA tonight...

Will report back if I end up getting to try anything crazy on the trip.

Forgot to post this last week, NEBCO did a tap takeover at the pub down the street from me. Gandi Bot fresh from the keg is otherworldly.

What does that trip entail? 4 to 5 brewery stops plus samples? Just a mode of transportation? The ones who know you're coming who give you a tour and unlimited samples are nice. You may not get limited or rare stuff, but you'll get some cool insights and enjoy the company you're with

I'll never forget my 2008 trip in NH,MA, and ,ME. That really fine tuned my likes and dislikes from a beer style perspective

Per their website:

"Each quarter, members will receive a package of three different, exclusive and limited release beers. One strong barrel aged beer aged in bourbon or other spirit barrels. One sour ale aged in wine barrels. And one other limited release beer, likely from our Preservation Series of experimental beers."

I'll try it out for a year and see how it goes. And yes, this hobby is quite expensive .
