NT, What Beer Do You Drink?

This was my post from April:
Included in there now is The Dudes tasting room, which I visited for the first time on Sunday night. The Dudes have been canning for a few years now and finally opened their room. Good stuff and like 4 blocks from Monkish.
Smog City is still, in my opinion, the best brewery in LA.
Oh and Smog, Monkish and The Dudes are real close to the 405. Like a few minutes off the freeway close.
If you do make it to any of those 3, send me a PM and if I'm not running around to one of my kids' soccer games, I'll head over there and grab a beer with you.

Good stuff man! I'll definitely hit you up if I'm in the area.

Can vouch for all 3.

I'd definitely hit up the Bruery since Placentia is probably just a 20 minute drive from Cerritos. Lots of beers are available for tasters so you don't have to drop $30 on a bottle of stuff you might not like.

The Bruery will probably be had since it's so close. I'll try to hitup the others if time permits.

^how fresh is that lagunitas sumpin extra ale up a few posts? I've seen some sitting my way but believe it's still the August stock they initially got.. I loved it at the time, but freshness may be key to that beers unbelievable balance
I've had it for a while. Finished the first few a while back, this was the last one. It was still pretty good though.

Got this today,

Had the Hardywood Gingerbread Stout at GABF this year. It was really great.

I had texted a friend who lives in RVA about which of theirs to try, and he said that was the one that people lost their minds about upon release. And judging by @EyeSeeSoles' follow-up, it sounds like that's the case!

If you can get it, it's worth it.

Welp. Rip wallet. Found a sale. 5 days old. Someone's getting some extras

Another beer store near me is still sitting on quite a few cases of Ba narwhal. It's priced wrong. I almost went super OD. I thought I better try some first before going crazy. Going in on a room temp bottle tonight and may go crazy tomorrow. I also decided on a single of Santa fes black ipa that just released. Should be super fresh. If anyone is in a must need situation with Ba narwhal, hit me up by tomorrow morning.

^ some of those euro lagers look so crisp and refreshing. I wish the American scene was more into that drinkability aspect.

A couple sips into BA Narwhal.. We have a stunner.. You definitely need to like bourbon. It's rich in that smell and flavor initially. I'm drinking it warm to begin with, so I may be missing that blossoming phase. But this is just phenomal.. No true lacing or creaminess. Reminiscent of BCBS. Mouthfeel about mediumish. Drinks like a 6-7% beer.. This should age really really nicely if you don't initially like that bourbon flavor.. I didnt catch much alcohol burn or heat. On the very back end, I am catching some very woody bourbon roasted elements.. I want to call this upper echelon for sure. Do I think its worth $18-$21? Maybe in a year or two. Do I think its worth what I paid? Most definitely. Not sure If I'll get any more. I may sit on a bottle for the holiday season and just move on... Not sure yet. I still got half a bottle left

Yeh heinkens are great, factory was decent, beer was fresh!
and Yeh them euro beers were clean, some were so dry it was refreshing in a way. Good beers for sure if you love the lagers and ales

Nice! BA Narwhal's are just sitting at the spots I frequent. Same with Xocoveza. Thinking about picking up a case . If anyone needs any, hit me up!

Hows that banana bread? Seen it but curious if its worth it. Does it actually taste of banana?
it's good. its actually a really good balance. originally i was expecting something real sweet but it's definitely worth trying, I think.

I had read someone made a "black and tan" using that Banana Bread beer and some Chocolate Stout which sounds awesome

So I recently started a paleo diet and am drinking way less than I used to. I'm also cutting back spending to 2 bombers a week since I won't even get around to drinking them. I have no idea what to pick up today. Choices are

Barrel aged narwhal
Firestone walker xviii
Clown shoes extremely angry beast
Modern times monsters park

Help!

My really good friend just got a package from New York from his friend with heady topper! He got a 4 pack and is giving my gf and I a can to share. I'm sooo excited! He's not a fan of IPAs and he said it lives up to the hype.

So much for cutting back. My gf and I went to a home brew competition at a local brewery and then decided to go to a bottle shop. Both beers at the comp were amazing. An ipa and an imperial pumpkin ale. BBA narwhal was sold out by the time I got there. :frown:
