NT, What Beer Do You Drink?

Gotta agree with that one.  Kind of let down by this year's.  Still extremely appreciative to have the opportunity to try it.

You drink that Bon Bon yet?  If so, how did it stack up compared to Heady?
Bro I had that up there too. I really liked it. That was fantastic. I though Heady was good too, but it was almost a nostalgic thing due to it's "world ranking" or whatever. If it was readily available like a Two Hearted, I'd probably buy TH more. I also brought up White Oaks and four Grapefruit Sculps which were on point. Good weekend of beer drinking, camping, (boomers) and music!
Sounds like a damb good time.  Glad you enjoyed the Bon Bon.  So glad NY finally  has breweries pumping out great IPAs now (SingleCut, Other Half, Barrier, etc.)

Heady is a great beer, but I feel like it has issues with its consistency.  I've had cans that ranged from mind-blowing to "meh."  The batch I sent you probably fell right in the middle of that window.  Great beer, but scarcity and groupthink keeps it at the top of the BeerAdvocate top 250.

Two Hearted is an underappreciated, underrated beer though.  Bells could make it a limited seasonal like Hopslam and it would probably sell just as well.

The wife surprised me with tickets to a Dogfish Head dinner for my birthday. Sam C. was in town to host the event which ended up being a great time.

They tapped 29 beers total but I was only able to have two more after the 7 that were included with dinner. 2011 Burton Baton was definitely my favorite for the night.

Yup. Lakewood neighborhood, right down the street from On Rotation and Il Cane Rosso. I heard the Jester King breakfast was excellent. Seriously considering the Prairie dinner this Sunday.

If you're ever in Dallas, shoot me a PM. I'm always up for grabbing a good beer.

I just did a spreadsheet of my cellar/beer fridge lineup.
This doesn't including my "normal", every day drinking beers.
I have 55 bottles. :x
No wonder my wife hates me.

I'm not a picky trader.

This came in today.

-Second round of GF sculpin in a month. Stuff is straight addicting.
-Founders Rubaeus was more of a seasonal pickup I guess. I'd rather do this than curmudgeon.
-I liked oak aged and regular yeti. For $8 bomber, not that bad of a value. I love the coffee flavored beers.
-Booming Rollers is super fresh. I'll be checking this out today
-Union Jack, super fresh. Seemingly hard to find fresh. Most FW is that way.
Two Hearted, I was disappointed my last go around a couple months ago. I thought I'd try a can this time around.

I was at around 35. Now I'm down to maybe 10. I did some heavy damage this month.

I'm sitting at 6. Just couldn't hoard anymore. Doing some damage tomorrow. Lagunitas high westy imperial stout, 14 bcbs, Sunday morning stout and 15 parabola. Eapresso yeti is a possibility. Wish me luck

I was at my local spot this week and a cat that works there told me he's had 996 beers. He was telling me how he's undecided on what he wants for his 1,000th beer.

  - I need to ask him next time I'm there if he had 1,000 different beers or just 1,000 beers in general. I'd guess different cause everytime I go in there, he's always recommending different stuff he's had.

going to be in Oakland and Sacramento for a few days, where are some places I can pick up some good bottles?

^that beer store guy may be talking about untappd check ins. Ie, I had such and such beer. But it may very well be a sip or a sample. Physically owning a cellar with 1,000 beers sounds insane.

Total wine and their sales. Kinda went crazy

Families having a sampling later on with some singles.

Prickly pear not my choice. Santa fe nut brown just to try it out. 5 bucks a sixer at sams club.

Elevated is for me, blood orange gose is a must. Weihenstephaner original is too tasty.

Hop stoopid is sitting at a month old. A must for its price. Project dank too good to pass up when it'd just sitting there.

Most of the singles are seasonal so freshness should be okay.
Euro pils, at room temp may be sketchy but we'll see. Radeberger, pilsner urquell, and Konig pilsner round out the pils category

Alaskan summer kolsch, and big mountain pale ale random tries

SN summerfest.dont think I've tried this one.

Modus hoperandi. Just to say there's a ipa in the tasting.

Avbc summer solstice cream ale.

Mother road lost highway is a black ipa

Blue moon summer honey wheat.

I think we'll have some late entries.

Pretty much a common man beer sampling. BA is nice and all but wow

Nice haul, son

This does have a nice horchata taste, pretty good.

Picked up Saturn from Bells planet series, pretty good as well. I enjoyed their planet releases thus far, minus the nasty double IPA that was their first release. Grabbed some Gumball Head too, since it was there.

First post in this thread. Not a huge beer fan but my girl is, we're at 3Floyds in Munster IN. Supposedly some amazing hard to find beer here. What's the beer scene in the Midwest/Chicagoland area like?

3F is supposed to be top notch. I've yet to try any :frown:

Not entirely familiar with Chicago's beer scene, but Goose Island is also based there. And I think a lot of MI's stuff ends up in IL.
