well, these aren't specific to basketball, but I wear Thorlos for bball, and they are amazing. Kinda price, but I think it's worth it. They've lasted longer than those NBA socks, which I think are nice too.

thorlo makes all black basketball specific socks in crew, quarter, and low cut. i have a few pairs of the quarter cut ones.
i actually have some reebok basketball socks that I love. they have good cushion on the bottom with a ribbed top from the arch all the way to the top of the sock and do a much better job of staying in place than the thorlos. it also has padded areas to protect the achilles and toes from blistering. they also keep your feet much cooler with about 20% cotton and mesh vent areas.
if thorlos were at all breathable and fit well, they may be worth what they cost, but i get them for $4-6 per pair and still find myself regretting the purchase. it doesn't matter how great the cushioning in a sock is if it ends up on the top of your foot, and super sweaty, burning hot feet are no good when its 100 degrees outside.
i got the reebok ones at d.ick's sporting goods. i think they were like $10 for two pairs, but they are well worth it compared to the trash nike and under armour offer for $10 for a single pair.

i really like wigwam.
not basketball specific, but they fit great, and will serve the purpose.
most of the styles only come in white though, but there are a few black ones to pick from.

used to be faithful to the nba socks but for 10 a pair i should not be getting holes after 3 wears
nba elite socks i get quite a few pairs every month or two for the last year or so
