The Official Netflix Thread Tho: Recommend Streaming Movies

Couldn't make a decision between Taking Lives and Boys Don't Cry last night. Are either of them any good? I know they're a little old.

Both those movies are ****** up.

Boys Don't Cry is the better film. I mean Hillary Swank and Chloe Sevigny...for what it was...killed their roles.
But that's kind of a "I only ever need/want to see this once in my life" type of movie.

I would rather watch Taking Lives again. It's half funny and bad, half psycho and awesome.
Some scenes you could either laugh at or get shook by, but I think the movie's underrated.
I mean Angie's ******* over everything.

Just started The Warriors!

love this movie. 70's movies always have the scary *** music in them even though they aint horror movies lol

the song at the end should be played for the golden state warriors game intros

whenever I get bored its the warriors or beat street that i watch... never get old...

I watched that documentary on prostitutes. Red light district in Bangladesh seems like a happening spot.......:x

I caught this the other day and it was :x I converted the Bangladesh taka to US dollar and these women were charging roughly $2 dollars for a john. It's sad these women have to lead lives like this for such little money.

I tried to watch Sons of Anarchy, man I just couldn't do it. First two episodes; zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :smh:

I might try Mad Men next.

SOA and Mad Men both start off extremely slow, especially Mad Men. I feel like nothing even happened that entire first season, but eventually it turns into a decent show about first world problems

If Sons put you to sleep, Mad Men'll put you in a coma.

With Sons, you can just skip the whole first season except for the last 2 episodes.
But Season 2 is crack. That's a must see.
After that, it's whatever.

I never felt bored watching Mad Men or thought it was slow. The writing is so damn good.

So stay with Sons? I just can't take too much of it man. I want to find a new show. I caught up with Breaking Bad. Waiting for Season 5 to be done so I can zip through that.

Anything political related, I can't watch. If it is white men in suits in/around DC, zzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Can't do it. Just being honest.

I won't hype up the other seasons of Sons, but just watch the last 2 eps of season 1 and all of season 2, and you won't be disappointed.

After that...Friday Night Lights is great, but I could see how that's a little too family friendly for some people.

Battlestar Galactica...ignore the title, watch the beginning miniseries and the first episode. If that don't hook you, okay. But it's not what you expect and it's damn good, especially the first 2 seasons.

Any good series other than the most popular ones (Breaking Bad , Sons of Anarchy, walking dead ,etc..)

Just started watching this show its pretty good if you like a mixture of dark/spoof comedy with horror type themes

I definitely recommend you guys watch the tv show comedy Good Vibes.  it will have you dying, trust me.

I was thinking about getting HULU as well I heard they have the brand new episodes of the current seasons as well, I might check it out later on this week.

i disconnected my cable... so paying for netflix and Hulu in comparison to a cable bill is a steal. I'm also not a TV "fanatic" so I have no problem letting episodes "stack" or pile up and then downloading a bunch and watching them all at once. I honestly believe if you paying for cable AND Internet, you are a fool.

I used to get free tv, internet, and phone through my old job.

Since I left, I pay $30 a month for 50mb/20 internet and I got HULU and NETFLIX streaming through my XBOX live which I pay $1 a month for. Im a sports addict ( bball, football, boxing) so I got sites I got to for any sporting event any country ( fly catching in Cambodia included) for free and I plug the laptop to the 40 inch tv via hdmi for full effect.

Netflix mostly for movies. Hulu mostly for current and older shows. All in all I pay $47 per month (564 pr year) for only the entertainment I care about. And it feels liberating. ( specially slim to no commercials)

And that is how im livin NTalk...
