What happened to Freddy Adu?

No bull, but when I saw his games from youth tournaments, I know he has the skills.

He has a terrrible work ethic.

Dude just cares about money..smh.

Dude was making plays last year for Aris and I thought that was the jump start to reviving his career. smh at me.

But the U-20 Freddy Adu is Appreciated.

Im sure he was hitting JoJo at some stage.

He reminds me of Giovanni Dos Santos - attitude wise.

which one? most of the kids who are dominant at the age end up fizzling out as the other players catch up to them.

That's why I haven't given up on him, the talent is undeniable. Personally I don't think he ever got a fair shot with Aris and the few chances he did get, he produced.

I'm really rooting for him in Turkey, if he gets it together he adds an element to the national team that no one last cycle was able to provide.

He's running out of time though. There are a lot young guys on the come up that are going to make competing to get into the squad much tougher than in years past.

Well attacking players don't hit their peak form until their mid 20's so Freddy has a good amount of years ahead of him before we know the real him.  As someone said before, the hype machine got him early and if there's one thing we clamor for here in America is a soccer savior.

If he wasn't so stubborn, put his pride aside, and came back to America like Chuck Davies just did then I think his development and work rate would skyrocket.  That Greek money is no joke though

I played against him twice lol

Played for the Soccer Club of Baltimore when he was a Potomac Cougar.

He has always been kind of a diva. But that happens when everyone tells you that your god at such a young age. He isn't used to working for anything because it was handed to him so young.

That being said.....greatest player ive ever played against. His pure quickness and speed was amazing. But when we lost to them in a tournament one year there was a ton of drama about seeing his birth certificate because dude was playing against us (we were like 13) and he was easily 18 when they said he was like 12. I remember he had pretty nice stubble at the age of 12....last i checked thats pretty rare.

But age aside. I think he should come back to america play for not that much money and just be a star here. He isn't built for soccer in Europe.
