Taking my dad (the Mets fan in the fam) to Nats/Mets October 2nd instead.
 
The Mets are getting every teams A game right now, and they keep winning.

That's false. The Mets are just beating up on the worst division in baseball. Yankees will be a good test for them.

Yeah, cause the Nats suck. If you honestly think the Braves, Marlins, and Nats brought their A games to the Mets idk what to tell you. The Braves and Marlins have been going through the motions for awhile now and the Nats can't do anything right. The Mets had a streak like this maybe a month ago after playing all bad teams and had to face the Pirates and got swept. If they take the series from the Yankees I'll believe they're for real, but until then they'll probably face the same fate as every NL East division winner has in the playoffs since 2011.

Why are you arguing this.

Braves gave Mets all they had, so did your Nats, and Miami before that. Dudes are out there trying to beat them, and can't. 

Mets aren't putting up runs until the late innings some times, but....8 in a row, 3 of those at thanks to your team
 
You and I must have completely different definitions of an A game :lol: Whatever, I don't think these teams are giving their "A" games and I know for damn sure the Nats aren't. It's the middle of September, teams like the Marlins and Braves aren't concerned with winning. They're concerned with getting younger players some ABs and innings under their belts. If the Nats were smart they'd stop playing bums that won't be on the team next year and give the young call-ups some burn.

Interesting stat, the Mets are 45-20 against the NL East. Dodgers have the second best record against divisional opponents at 38-22. Dodgers are 19-13 against the East while the Mets are 21-12 against the West. If I were a betting man, I'd put money on the Mets to win that series solely because the Dodgers bullpen is basura. However, I wouldn't be confident in that bet whatsoever.
 
Yea, don't confuse close games with teams giving the Mets their A game. The Mets haven't played a good team in a Month

 Baseball isn't lie Basketball where effort plays that much of a factor. Basketball/football teams can come out with more energy and it will usually lead to a good start. Baseball players can come out as pumped as they want but it doesn't matter a bit. If the Nats really gave them their A game they would have won that series.

So the Nationals, who are pushing for a Playoff spot, came out with a number of things on their mind, and baseball wasn't one of them? Against the Mets?

I'm not buying it.

Mets are better it seems, and that's why Nats looked like they brought their B game.

Nats losing to them may tell you guys that they are half assing. 

It just tells me, the Mets are better.

But, I know little in terms of Baseball in comparison to you two, erupt and madj, I just find it hard to believe they aren't zoned in. 

I think they're zoned in, and just can't put it together. To me those are 2 different things, and they are bringing their A game, or best game, with perhaps a **** roster and Manager.
