The year Posey won the MVP, Braun hit like 20 more bombs and had a higher OPS (I know it's a flawed stat cause both aren't equal, but it's a good measuring stick). Posey had a slightly higher war aided by the positional adjustment of being a catcher.

WAR is a good measuring stick, but it shouldn't be taken as player 1 has 7.8 and player 2 has 7.4 so 1 is automatically greater than 2.
