Damn, mad impressed with KC's moves. Zobrist isn't anything special but he wasn't cheap. Like 12 teams wanted him.

Would love to see NYY vs KC in the ALCS :smokin :smokin :smokin

Now we just gotta move Reddick and Vogt and we will have traded every viable asset

But dont trade Sonny Gray

:frown:

Until this team learns to develop position players also, we ain't doing anything relevant.

I just want a brand new front office, why is that so much to ask for?

You've got the best GM in baseball honestly. He's just doing what he can with the allowance the owners give him.

I respect Billy, he has done a lot with little, but he deserves more blame than he gets.

I honestly believe Billy has stayed with this organization because he has nothing to lose. He will never get blamed for mistakes he has made because there are no expectations for him to achieve anything here.

I don't think there are many people who could do more with this team, but I just want a brand new front office, obviously starting with the owners.

It's a revolving door, we're going to get some good pitchers develop them, we'll sneak into the playoffs and get bounced in the first. I've watched this story too many times. :x :smh:

QFT.  Wholeheartedly agree with this entire post.

People make comments like "imagine what Billy would be able to do with more payroll" without addressing the fact that he has had the ability to leave Oakland many times and has chosen not to.  Gotta be a reason for that.

^ well put

It's hard to figure out how much blame Billy deserves in contrast to how his hands are tied, and he is just making moves to prepare the organization for upcoming years

But i honestly think he is a great GM and baseball mind. If you did a full MLB GM draft, I am confident Billy would be in the top 5 picked, probably top 3.

He showed last year he'll be a buyer if it makes sense, just didn't work.

Maybe he just likes Oakland and wants to finish the job there. Who knows, but if the Mets hired him, I'd be very happy.

Welp, Papelbon will be heading to DC most likely. Don't like the move, but I hope it works out.

@MLBRosterMoves: .@Nationals reinstate OF Jayson Werth from 60-day DL, 1B Ryan Zimmerman from 15-day DL.

This is the first time Werth, Rendon and Zimmerman have been in the same lineup all season.
