They were scouting the Padres end of last week.

Yankees really want a Righty Bullpen Arm because they won't part with Judge or Severino for a Starter. Right now it's just Adam Warren with Betances. But Betances is your 8th inning guy, need someone else in the mix.

They need another righty arm, and from what I read, they want to lessen the stress on Betances, and Kimbrel would be the 7th inning.

Something along the lines of Nelson & Stanton for Rivera.

another righthander is definitely needed in the pen tho whether it be Benoit or Kimbrel.

Dotel was a sick setup reliever in Houston.

I was sad we had to give up Dotel and Cedeno for Mike Hampton and Derek Bell. Dotel was our Mejia. I liked the trade but wish we didn't give up these young promising players. Lucky for us that Cedeno didn't play well. Bell with his infamous eephus pitch. :pimp: :lol:

a guy who has been arguably the best closer in baseball the last 3 years would be a 7th inning guy? the chances of him going there are slim but if he does he is the closer.

No he would not. Numbers for Miller and Betances are better this year, he would be 7th inning guy.

I can see Cubs instead getting Kimbrel and Tyson Ross while giving up Starlin Castro and some other dudes

Padres get their shortstop and Cubs promote Javier Baez for 2B while moving Addison to SS.
